Do you have success with article marketing without EzineArticles.com?

Article Marketer is the way to go. Just get a paid subscription.

I started submitting to article directories about 3 months back. I used to just part content on my own site and I can tell you that there is a dramatic improvement in overall exposure and visitors to my site as a result of submitting to article directories.

I view it as piggy-backing EZA's ability to get high SERPs. If I write a good article and post it at EZA, it has a much better shot at being found on Google organically than if it sits on one of my sites. Then it's just a matter of maximizing CTR so a lot of readers get to my site from there. And that's really why I believe article marketing works so well. It's that you end up with highly interested visitors who are oftentimes pre-sold on your authority level. A much higher percentage of them seem ready to buy something if you give them more reasons on your site that relate to the article that brought them there in the first place. It's better than just "targeted" traffic (which is good, don't get me wrong). It's what I think of as "pre-sold targeted" traffic (the best there is). "Pre-sold" can mean ready to buy something or ready to believe you know what you're talking about because you gave them solid, useful info in the article they originally read.

If I had a retail store in a mall, let's say, well I'm gonna get lots of foot traffic, but many will be apathetic window shoppers. That's what I liken SE traffic that just clicks a link from an organic search to. They see your store sign, so to speak, and wander in to have a look around. Contrast that with having a well-dressed, eloquent salesperson out in front of your mall store who convinces some of those passersby to come in for specific reasons. Some of them will pass and say it's not what they're looking for today. Fair enough. But there will be some who didn't realize you sold a certain product and they are actually very interested in it. And some who knew you sold that product, but didn't realize you were offering something else that adds value. You just gained a hot prospect and the quality of your foot traffic has increased significantly. That's how I view my articles at EZA (and to a lesser extent other directories).

Once you figure out how to write articles that consistently pull in a 20% or better CTR, you start to get really excited about every article you write. It's harder (in my experience, which is definitely not as extensive as many others here) to improve site conversion rates, but when you combine both (article CTR + site conversions), you can't write enough articles.

I'm rambling, but I'll finish with a final point that bears mentioning. If you write a lot of articles for one site, I've learned that a law of diminishing returns kicks in. If I get more than a few articles approved on any given day with links to the site in question, I don't get a proportionately higher traffic flow. In other words, if submitting 1 article gets me X amount of traffic, I do not get 5X if I submit 5 articles at the same time... if they all get approved at the same time (which is almost always what happens). I might get 3X. I've played around with this, and at least from my limited experience, 3 articles per day is the "golden" number. I might do 4, but 5 or more becomes less and less worth the time involved writing and submitting them.

I should point out that of the various article directories I submit articles to, EZA gives me some of the lowest click-throughs. Don't know why but there it is.

Well ezinearticles is no doubt established themselves as brand and now almost every professional webmaster is getting the benefit from it and this is bound to happen

Now their Alexa Ranking is 302 with PR 6. So you can imagine how they are important. But I want to know few more these kind of websites.

Don't mean to go off track, besides testing, does any one have a recommendation for a e-book/report about getting the best conversions on bio boxes? Always looking to improve.

I use Ezine Articles to mainly build up some Link Strength for my Blogs, Squidoos, and Websites.

When it comes to a Link to a Landing Page... it's almost a 1% conversion rate, but again... it's mainly used for Link Strength for me.

I have been doing a little trick to get more hits to the articles by submitting on a Mid Wednesday Afternoon. Usually by Friday morning I get the email saying it will be on Home Page later on in the day.... that means that for the Weekend.... you get to be on the Home Page.

One Article I had that was on a weekend had almost 6,000 views... in only 2 days time.. 2 1/2 counting the friday.

Try it , it might work.
