Getting Better Conversions

Does anyone know of a good course, book etc that can help with this subject? Just revamped my site. Looks a lot better but no sales. I'm still not getting the organic traffic I had hoped for either. Seems like I am chasing my tail some days.

I recently put up my own site about 2 weeks ago...I made 3 sales to date and could offer some advice perhaps..

SEO- Make sure your title tags contain the keywords you are targeting and use the pipe symbol. Google seems to like it better..Example of mine:

Sport Supplement Secrets | Sport Supplements

Article Marketing: Make sure you are linking your articles to point back to your domain and do keyword research for each article, article title should contain your keyword, also include it in the first sentence of the article, about 2% keyword density in total. Be sure to utilize the resource box for your links..

Backlinking: Create backlinks using anchor text for the keywords you are targeting for your squeeze page and sales copy.

I would download firefox add-ons SEO Quake and Quirk search status..Very good tools...

Make blog post related to your niche and use the quirk search status to make sure the blog does not have no follow links turned on..

Create a squeeze page, make sure all the articles you are writing generally point back to the squeeze page about 80% 20% to main sales copy, build a list...

I would create a blog if I were you related to your niche and try and post 5 times a week, using keyword research for every post and yet building backlinks to every new page you create, this will be your main bloodline to funnel traffic to the sales page...

    Good luck!

Warriors would be glad to give a review if you don't mind posting the link here.

Even a detailed course will not do much good without testing and a method that works in the "dating" niche might not work in the "debt consolidation" niche. (eg)

Other factors would be your source of traffic and the amount of traffic. Most of the time targeted traffic will have higher conversion on most niche but on some niches, even totally irrelevant traffic and turn to sales.

Elaborate your findings in more details so Warriors can give better comments if posting the link is not possible.

    Cheers!

Not sure what script you are using, but what I'm using as of now is rotating 5 different sales copies every time a unique visitor lands on my page, after I get say 1k hit per page I will keep the highest converting page..

There are too many unknowns here. You say you revamped the website but the question is; what did you change and why?

Are you getting enough traffic to gauge the effectiveness of your current campaign?

If I were you I'd buy some paid traffic and tweak the copy with split testing all the way down the sales funnel. Once this is done you can pump up the free traffic programs because you know you have good conversions.

    Hope this helps,
    Mike

Good stuff but I need to know how to build the funnel etc. Thats why I am looking for a course. I rebuilt the site because I initially built it using site builder and it did not look good so I switched to WordPress. Now it looks better but I am still not getting any action. I am still building back links so I am not getting much traffic yet. It is a gross subject but here is the link if you want to look.

      | Hemroid Treatment Central

Thanks to all for the feed back and input

Great site by the way. Are you selling your product through clickbank or direct? I am just working the affiliate angle for now but may move that direction if I ever get this method down. I can see that your mentor did right by you.

OK Thanks, Mukul. I agree with you about the traffic. The response above concerning traffic was directed to you. Thanks for the quotes tip.

EfitnessNYC has some good ideas there. I'm doing all of that minus the blog (I'm building up to that though).

    Few ideas.

1.) What is it you're trying to get your visitors to do? Buy a supplement/ebook/cream?

When I first landed there I didn't easily see what it was you wanted me to do. THere were some banners in the RH side and some adsense b/w the posts. I'd suggest getting a promo of your #1 offer above the fold (above the bottom part of the screen so the visitor doesn't have to scroll down).

2.) What keywords are you targeting? Your title tag is Hemroid treatment center, depending on your keyword you're targeting I'd suggest making a more compelling title tag. That is what shows as your anchor text in Google and you're competing with paid ads, and 9 other listings on the page make your title as compelling as possible with the keyword you're targeting in it...same with your posts.

3.) Headline on the page is read first... spice that up as well to get peoples attention. I don't know the market but find out what they're thinking when they're looking for hemroid treatments.... Give them the solution to their itch (sorry pun intended).

It's a nice layout I agree..but there are things you can tweak there to improve conversions when people land.

To see what people are doing when they land on your site consider the free version of crazyegg.com it'll help out with where people are going, what links they're clicking etc. Also do you have analytics installed? Watch your bounce & exit rates.

    Cheers,

    SPikey

More details please. Are you getting lots of traffic. I think traffic comes first, then you can do more with conversion

I am not getting much traffic yet but the site has only been up 30-45 days. I have written several articles, posting on the forums, posting on the socials and getting my rss on the socials as well. I was able to get indexed by google within a day, yahoo and bing within a week but I am still only getting 6-7 uniques a day. I have read that it takes 60-90 days for these techniques to work so maybe I am being too impatient?

I sell my current product/services direct as I have never done anythig in the IM industry. The Video Marketing Intensive course which will be out in the next few days will be through clickbank soon. Quality for me is critical so I would release it on WSO (hint first 20 people get more then 50% off get on the email list) and cheaper here then regular price.

I have tried affiliates, but have not had much success in more sales. My fault for not focusing on it more likely.

Let me know if you need help

Conversion is a really huge topic and not something I could answer in a single post. As well as having a really good sales page (go and study copywriting for this) you need to have really good marketing.

The role of marketing is to make sales superfluous. I can't remember who said that, it might've been Drucker. Anyway, you want to get your name out there, get your marketing seen and get people to like your stuff.

When you do this, you often don't even need to sell. But this takes time. In the meantime, I definitely recommend learning as much about copywriting as you can. Learn from the masters like Bencivenga (google bencivenga bullets) and Halbert (google the gary halbert letter) and buy a few books.

Dan Kennedy's "The Ultimate Sales Letter" is a good place to start.

The better you convert, the more traffic channels open up and the more traffic you can get. So spend more time on this conversion thing. It's a never ending process, but you can make big leaps quickly.

    Hope that helps...

Allow me to plug the War Room here at WF. It's $37 to get in, but the wealth of info is unsurpassed, seriously. You can even pick up quite a few WSO's for free, so it more than pays for itself within about 30 minutes of joining.

Anyway, there's an awesome list of things to include in your sales page. I refer to that post about 10 times a week to make sure I've got all my bases covered. I'm sure that what I learned from that one War Room post has made me several hundred dollars more in higher conversions than I'd have gotten otherwise.

Dude, I see a serious flaw in your plan of attack, and it has nothing to do with site design, or the content you're putting out. I can sum it up in three words:

    Build a list.

In order for any sales message to work, you have to hit the prospect with the message at least 8 times, and building an email list that helps you follow up on the prospects can do exactly that.

Putting in an opt in link with a message 'let me know when this site gets updated' can work wonders for you. Try it and see.
