Yeah, I agree people don't really change.

I can remember hearing Donald Trump say that once and I was a little taken back and disappointed to hear him say it b/c I always been big on personal growth. But the more I've studied people, including myself, I've learned that it is in fact true.

With that said, I'm still big on personal growth which to me means learning how to focus on your strengths and developing yourself into the best you that you can be. But the reality is that success comes from within - some people have it and some people just don't. (although I do believe everyone has the capability to be extremely successful in some capacity)

You might go from a criminal to a successful businessman on the outside but on the inside you're still the same person with the same tendencies, the same level of desire and the same overall personality. Chances are if you were aggressive then you're gonna be aggressive now.

When it comes to playing the cards you've been dealt in the best way possible... that's where I think personal development can be of value.

A person can very definitely change, if they desire it.

A person can change what they do.
A person can change what they accomplish or have.
A person can change the way they are.

The people that think we can't change are the same people that think we are unthinking animals.

We have evolved past that and it is what makes us different.

That goes for the race as a whole and for each individual.

People can and do change, even at their core. It isn't an easy process, but it happens every day.

like to talk about how much they've changed, yet continue to act in the
same way as they always have. Actions speak much louder than words.

It's a problem philosophers have worked thousands of years on, so don't pretend to have anything more than an opinion on this matter, you'd risk to be wrong...

Everybody changes, life makes us change, but it takes years, we call it experience or wisdom.

A book can change your life, but it can't change you, as you are inside, your abilities and inabilities. It can show you tricks on how to hide or manage your weaknesses but it can't change much more.

So now the question become knowing that we all have limitations in one thing or another one, how to accomplish what we want given what we are. That's where I think there's room for improvement.

Of course they're selling something. THese guys could sell in their sleep ... that's why they're successful. They're selling something, most - if not all - of the time.

It's an excellent vid in terms of positioning. They - John and Frank - are the goo-roos who care about whether or not you use their products. The whole on-the-table premise for the interview is how to get people to take action when they are providing them with excellent content that will help them, *if* they will only use it.

It's beautiful positioning. And I've no doubt (ducks to avoid rotten tomatoes) that many marketers who provide excellent content actually WANT their customers to use it and be successful. (What a concept.)

Obviously there's more going on. Watching this roll out and how they each use it - and position it within their market - could be really useful.

Yeah, I watched the video yesterday also. Really impressed! This is something I seriously need to start doing again because I know it works.

When I was a lot younger, there would always be music gear I was after. There was this one $5000 Kurzweil synthesizer I wanted pretty badly. All I had was a crappy photocopied brochure of it, but I would constantly be looking at that brochure all the time, double checking the specs, thinking about what I would be doing with it once I had it. At the time I was broke working in a factory job. But some how within 2 months I had bought that synthesizer. I'm still amazed at how I managed to pay for it with the $150/week job I had at the time. I'd sold some of my older gear to raise more money, stopped going out, and hustled for a better deal at the music store. And that's not the only time.

So the technique definitely works and having your desires or goals on paper, even a list, really works. Which is something that video reminded me I haven't done for quite some time... Better get that sorted out..

Damn it, Paul, quit giving away my secrets. OKAY OKAY time to come clean... what most people see of 'me' is really just a hologram. Paul's photo proves it. That's why I look like Princess Leia in her holographic message. The truth is, I was hurt in a horrible accident trying to discover cold fusion and I lost everything but my head. That's all that's left and keeping 'me' alive. My head is connected to a special machine in my home. I usually just do meetings with other people via videoconferencing and that's the only time they see the real me - or at least just my head which is all I have.

TO PROVE THIS... Now I don't mean to creep anyone out, but if you look very closely at the TV in the background you will actually see the real me (my face) being broadcast to that meeting room - while my 'body' is being holographically transmitted to that room which is the blur image you see.

Glad I'm not alone James, the intro with the " we were just passing" (and happened to have a camera in our car , felt horribly contrived.

John looked positively awkward in the initial stages with the whole " come and sit on my knee" stuff.

Past some of those issues which repeated themselves, I thought it was a good video that will install a little get up and go in people , can't be a bad thing.

I personally hate the rar-rar stuff, but I do like Robbins, can't help myself. He just seems like a decent human being who god forbid want's to make a buck or two.

Same with Frank, the king of video for my money but this wasn't his shining moment, it just didn't quite feel right but all in all, if you look past that, which you should, folks got a decent video for free that if you actually take on board, may well help a few people push themselves out of a rut.

Watching how Robbins commands a room , turning even the most experienced guys in their field , essentially into doting school children also tells us a number of lessons we can learn from.

We should be thankful to Frank and to some degree John, as these guys are pulling in huge names from outside of the IM market and bringing us their beneficial content.

Be interesting, now we are cookied to see what the actual long term sell is, guess it's coming soon.

It matters... Kern and Reese are gods to some the kids on this forum and it's obvious they were out-of-place with TR. Just watch them "hug" Tony. Tony is all about it.. and these guys act like the hugging the aunt with H1N1. If Kern is suppose to the "expert" as Tony suggested, he should have sat up and shared some valuable insights.

Mike Koenigs has set these guys up to work together and get exposure from Tony. Mike is also the force behind Tony's video marketing efforts.

In fairness, the entire premise of the video was that Frank and John were going to Tony to get an answer to something they couldn't answer themselves, they stipulated this on the "phone call".

Sure the first couple of minutes were a little awkward but it got it's feet from then on. I wasn't expecting to hear much from Frank & John, they were the guests at the TR show .

I think any more practise would have made this thing wooden as hell, infact the bit which clearly was practised , pretty much up to walking into the hotel room was by far and away the most cheesy.

They should have started it from in the hotel room, with a "Were here with Tony Robbins and a big question"..

I thought it was pretty good, and I'm a sceptical sonofabeatch.
