Just watched it last night. I had seen TR speak live before at a learning annex a couple years ago. He doesn't like being referred to as that "motivation guy", but that's basically what he is. He gets people pumped up and "in state" so they will take action. It's a lot of "rah rah" stuff. If I ever want to get up for something, I'd look to TR in a heart beat. Problem is, the heightened state usually doesn't last long and it dissipates and you are left looking for more motivation eventually. I was intrigued at all the "wow, great video" comments in this thread. I asked myself why people were saying that. Then I thought, well TR got them pumped up and excited. It's purely motivational. After watching TR, you want to take on the world and that's fine. I think that's what this video was about mostly. The other guys didn't really share any deep insights about how to become internet millionaires other than saying that visualizing and believing that it WILL happen is how it's done. These are concepts rehashed from Napoleon Hill's book and even "The Secret." Hey, if that works for people and gets them motivated, then great. But, there's a lot more to the equation. Tony is a great marketer for sure. If he's smart, at the end of the video there would be a link to a product about "Visualizing your way to success." Again, part of the picture, motivating and inspiring but not the whole thing. |

As a graduate of Tony's Life Mastery program, I can tell you he is the real deal. His true motivation is helping turn peoples lives around. I graduated his program about ten years ago and almost immediately took my business from $500k to $6 million a year. Over the past two years I have had some major setbacks that have significantly damaged me financially. Yet, Tony's teachings have helped me stay relatively positive and I wake up each day ready to take on the world. Many days, the world kicks back but there is also another day.

I think the existence of this thread goes to prove that we all have too much time on our hands ;-) So here's the inside scoop on that video: John and I went to meet with Tony so Tony could film some footage with John to be used in an upcoming product (the one which will be sold as a result of this launch). At some point, we were talking about random stuff and I mentioned some survey results where 70+% of the people in our little world had yet to set up a website or sell anything ...despite having bought tons of stuff. (That's pretty disturbing.) One of us (can't remember who) said "Hey- let's talk about that on camera." So we did. I didn't talk much because I wanted to hear what Tony had to say. Also, I wasn't expecting to be on video that day. In fact, I was super tired from being out all night the night before with my degenerate cousin, Trey. (Damn him!) It was all pretty spur of the moment. The intro was shot after the interview and was my idea. I figured it would be kind of weird to just start a video out with three dudes sitting on a couch. So the intro is really more for entertainment. We all realized the video wasn't perfect in terms of production and so forth and we all decided that we'd release it anyway because the message was good and could potentially help people. The overall purpose of the video is two fold: 1. To generate good will and to help people. (Time for the skeptics to speak up, fine, but the fact that 70(ish)% of long time members of this community have YET to take action is something I'm very interested in changing for the better.) 2. To generate interest for the new product that's being offered shortly. I won't go into detail about it here because this isn't the place to try to sell it. By the way, Tony is VERY cool, down to earth, and funny. He's really intense in person but not in a weird way, and he genuinely cares about helping people. He also works more than any other person I've ever seen. Some folks don't like him, I realize. But I do and always have. His materials really helped me. |

Frank - the video is very good. It will get some people off their arses. Maybe even me! Don't worry about the people who said negative comments. Nothing you do will sway them. I am fond of saying "work with the willing" |

Love him or hate him, one thing about Tony Robbins no one can argue is the results he has produced! He has helped mulititudes and that's the reason Frank Kern and John Reese tapped into his overflowing well. I watched the video and TR was on point! Once again... |

You wouldn't believe how big that guy is in person. I'm 6'1 and weigh around 220 and I feel like a dwarf standing next to him. I've known the guy for almost a year and I still can't get used to that. And while we're on the topic of Tony, there's a product he has called "Time Of Your Life" that is (in my opinion) the best one he's got. It's about managing time and getting things done. Actually, it's about way more than that ...but that's the short version. I used to when I was creating the marketing and course materials for my Serializer classes and without it, none of that would have happened. Another excellent Tony product is "Living Health". I got a TON of value from that. |

The video was brilliant, as it offered a lot of value and is full of quality insights about changing your state and envisioning success. Granted, I have ALL of Tony Robbins' products, so have heard most of this before. It remains very motivating and TRUE. Pop on here and everyone is talking about how John looked, the way it was edited or the fact that Frank and John were quieter than usual :-) It's Tony ROBBINS!!! I saw the guy at his UPW seminar three years ago. He is a force of nature and, honestly, one of the most charismatic people I have ever witnessed. Would anyone else have felt a little "quieter" or more awkward sitting across the couch from Tony Robbins?! Without a doubt! There are some great contributions here, too. I vibe with what Jason Moffatt is saying and I was honestly blown away by what John Reese wrote. John, that took real balls and you went WAY up in my estimation for your candor... For what it's worth, reading the way some people online pick apart valuable videos and bash successful people they've never met would discourage many of us from sharing a vid in the first place... That aside, John Reese comes across as a genuine, decent guy and even a little quirky (in a good way!)... All innovators tend to be quirky, by the way. Wear it with pride :-) I got a lot out of this video, so thanks very much for taking the time and energy to make and share it... |

Those two products Frank mentioned are awesome. Tony Robbins on Health and Time Management came at the right time in my life. Man oh man. That was when MP3 players first came out. The Time program was so massive I remember days and days of ripping the CDs to mp3s Just an incredible set. Probably worth thousands to me over the years. And the health set is highly motivational too. Tony studied with my teacher Dave Dobson for a while. I see a lot of what Tony does came from Dave's other than conscious processes. Hey Frank, when you see Tony again, ask him if he knows his former teacher died and spoke highly of him. Peace. |

Bruce: I owe you a great debt! Frank Kern had sent me the video but I was busy and had no time for anyone's video that day or for several other days. (ADD people have to stay focused!) I am getting ready to give a major talk at a university in Eastern Canada in less than a month, but for some reason when I got your link this morning I clicked on it and watched the entire video. I am so excited! The finger pointing exercise gave me a great idea for ending my talk and encouraging sales. I will go through the exercise with half a dozen folks from the audience right on stage. That will enable many to overcome the fear that "this won't work for me"! Great stuff and thank you for bringing it to my attention once more. Sydney |

John Reese and Frank Kern didn't "share any deep insights about how to become an internet millionaire" in this video because that's what their training materials are supposed to do and the meeting with Tony Robbins was supposed to help people take action on what's contained in the courses they've already purchased. To me the video was much more than just motivation. It was motivational but there was more to it than just motivation and visualization.

Also as far as dissecting the video and there being awkward moments or we were in awe of Tony, etc. What people don't realize is that we were hanging out with Tony for like 10+ HOURS that day before this was even shot. As Frank stated above, the reason for the video was to let Tony talk and explain some things. It wasn't an interview or anything. There's a PART 2 coming later today that is Tony asking me some stuff about the million dollar day. I think it's a great video and look forward to everyone's feedback on it. |

Hey John, I think we will all look forward to that. I'm not sure it will live up to the revenge fantasy / video store movie I have created in my head, but it will probably come a close second. I don't see how anyone could have a bigger personality than Tony - nor why it should be such a problem in a free (free for cripes sake!) video. Now Trials, Monkey Island or the Mentalist... hmmmm. |

I enjoyed the vid and got quite a bit out of it. Thanks guys. Yes it's all part of a launch (even this thread is now part of it) but so what, good information is good information. However it happened I think it's great that the likes of Frank and John are tapping into resources as huge (pun intended) as Tony Robbins - and what's more they're sharing it with the rest of us. I know there are ulterior motives, but again, so what? I'm looking forward to the next video and (Mass Control techniques permitting!!) I'll make my own mind up whether to buy. But whatever happens we'll more than likely get given a shed load of quality stuff for free. I luurve big launches! Peter |

There's no doubt that Tony is an awesome motivator and a game changer. He is the master of his domain (motivation and empowerment). The problem is that even though he's created infomercials before, this one seems a bit "off." I think part of the problem is that most of us marketers have heard the stories of the million dollar launches over, and over, and over again and I think many of us are getting immune to them. So...I'm thinking that with this product they are going after a new audience, one that hasn't heard these stories once a month for the past 2 years. If that is the case then, where is the congruency in the message? Are they really working to solve the problem of people not taking action or selling another 2,000 course to new IM'ers? I love the way that Frank, John, and Tony do business, but I just wonder if people are already growing immune to launches like this? I think it is cool that these 3 have improved the game and created a whole new playing field, I just wonder when the repetitive stories and feigned interest in them will end. |

Although "launches" are somewhat new to our industry, it's been a part of marketing for over 100 years. Will some become immune or less responsive? Absolutely. That's why techniques and strategies will continue to evolve. BUT the core of the process will remain. It's simply building ANTICIPATION for something that's coming out in the future. -John Reese

In the UK one of my best friends sells hardcore. In UK this also means rocks, stones and gravel, which is his business. It has raised a few laughs at parties to say the least. He also has a lot of laughs with his adverts, such as "Clean Hardcore Wanted", "Hardcore Delivered to Your Door" etc. etc. |

... loved it (!) ... the 'hobbit versions' of John and Frank made me laugh, though ... my vote: excellent content! ... the sizes might well have been done by design, but for the rest of us, here is a little tip: - beware of your wide angle lenses, it makes the objects further away very small and the foreground REALLY BIG. ...

Yes, it's very possible that many will become immune since they've heard the same story before. It also depends how that story is being positioned. As far as the congruency, and as you'll notice in the 2nd video, it's not just only about helping people to take action per se. That was just the initial piece of content to 'introduce' Tony to us and vice versa to get everything started and to giveaway some great content to get people interested. -John Reese
