Out sourcing Free Traffick Generation

has anyone had any experience or success with out sourcing free traffic generation on an on going bases and was it cheaper or more successful than paid adverting

I am thinking of things like forum posting, yahoo answers, article directory submissions
Or for that matter any other ideas

    Forum posting is great source of free traffic. I have heard about article posting works great but haven't got into it yet myself.

    You'll want to be careful about who you allow to do forum posting, Yahoo Answer, and similar things; most people who offer this kind of service do far more harm than good.

    One "free" traffic method that some marketers successfully outsource is posting high quality blog content.

    A high quality 3,000 word blog post might cost about $150 but if you promote it right and remain consistent with your posting schedule, you can get a LOT of organic search traffic and shares.
