Help with wordpress and script please ...

With my HTML website I have inserted a special lead gen script into the <head> and this works just fine.
Recently I started a new site using wordpress but I am not sure where I should insert the special lead gen script and how to go about it.?

Hoping someone can help.

    Ho zoro,

    The path to the file is;

    wp-content/themes/your-themes-used/header.php

    This will only work for the theme you selected to use

    Usually the script you add in the head with html can be added by going to the theme editor and then add the same script into the header script you find in that page.

      Yes you can do that but you have to make the directory writable which I am avoiding completely now as that way WP can be hacked. I only use ftp now.

    I concur with theimdude: it's better to avoid making files writeable if you can avoid it. You should be able to edit the necessary theme files you uploaded from your computer and just upload them again with ftp.

    Sorry, but I can't get this javascript to work in wordpress? I have inserted the script into the Header PHP <head> through the WP editor (I am using WP 2.84) and it just don't work?

    What am I doing wrong?
