This is basically a copy and paste from a similar thread I responded to:

There isn't necessarily any best way to generate traffic to your site.

That would depend on your strengths or at least what skills you are willing to develop.

If you're good at researching topics and creating videos on the matter, you'll want to try generating traffic through YouTube.

If you're good at crunching numbers and want to scale your business fast, you might want to invest in some form of paid traffic such as PPC.

As for me, I got started as a beginner by generating traffic through YouTube.

    Hope this answers your question!

    Regards,
    Daniel

For IM niche best traffic sources are IM related forums in my opinion. This traffic tactic is inexpensive and effective.

By no comparison it's paid. Many different forms such as ppc and banner advertising. Paid traffic I am in control of what I get and how much and its much easier and faster to scale.

Paid and free traffic both work well. I personally like paid traffic because I can target my specific audience I I know the traffic is quality. Facebook PPC is what I use and I like it because it not expensive to do.

    Hopes this helps.

Well you can combine. Using adwords for some of your keywords and spending some dollars a day will bring you interested traffic which will convert well. You can also use the free options with forum commenting, blog commenting, blog writting and sharing, also be active on social media like Facebook, twitter, linkedin.

Writting a blog is very much worth because it will increase your SEO and that is very important for a page.

You can also add a community chat to your webpage with ability to export chat - increases your SEO as well.

It would have to be paid! It's much much faster and is super laser-targeted when done correctly. As far as the free methods, they usually take a lot longer to get anything going and not as reliable.

I hope that helps and good luck!

My FREE traffic method favorite is forum posting. I could learn more and also get traffic. How cool is that

Paid traffic method is solo ads it is fast and furious. Maybe just because i am a lazy man, don't even want to targeted audience or something.

Paid traffic via Bing has been effective and reasonably priced.

As far as some of the most targeted ?? Forum Posting and Blog Commenting and Guest Posting.

Only thing it is difficult to really Scale compared Paid Traffic

There is no such thing as truly FREE traffic because you still have to 'PAY' in the form of time.

With that said, my favorite traffic is RETARGETED FB traffic

If you measure success based on ROI and CONVERSIONS....... It's very hard to beat retargeted FB ads.

    A hybrid....

I can typically get US-based Facebook fans for under a nickel apiece. So, what I do is build a matching Facebook page for every website/brand that I launch. I spend a couple hundred buck to establish a Facebook fan base over several thousand people.

Once I have that fan base, I simply share my website content on my Facebook page for that brand. It's basically a "traffic-on-demand" system. Easy-peasy.

So, I'll pay upfront to build the audience but then, traffic is free with every post I share.

Another great benefit of building an FB Fan page is the AUDIENCE INSIGHT you get from your existing visitors. Using the profile info you get from your FB Page, you can MAXIMIZE the ROI of your AD RETARGETING campaigns.

This is especially productive when it comes to multi-page or multi-conversion level pages using content to filter people based on buying intent and retargeting the most likely buyers.

I personally like paid traffic.. mostly ppv (right now my fav network is 50onred)..

I like it due to the amount of traffic I can get and I find it's cheap and converts well (when tested correctly)

The only thing I spend money on any more is search engine PPC.

I've spent thousands testing every source imaginable and they are about 95% straight shit.

If you want traffic that converts at a profitable rate, people have to be actively searching for your product or service. "Surfer" traffic is a waste of money.

I like both Free and Paid Traffic

    1. Free Traffic - It is free.. no additional cost! the one's I am tapping are from the search engines that are hot buyers and from social networks

    2. Paid Traffic - It is really fast and income can be scaled up quickly once you see it is a winning campaign. You can control the traffic anytime you want.

Using Free traffic can bring in a good source of traffic if you are consistent with posting your ad but this requires time. I think that value that paid traffic gives you is to reach more people faster without investing a lot of time.

I agree... because you have to be cautious with paid traffic, f.e. on fiver you have a lot of junk traffic ( even traffic that just ping your google analytics ).. of course you have Adwords / Bing or other well-known but of course higher price... it depends of your price of products too :-)

Both have its own set of advantages and disadvantages.

Free traffic is highly affordable because its FREE, while paid traffic need investment. However, paid traffic brings relevant leads and conversion, while free traffic do not provide guarantee of targeted traffic.

To understand both deeply, read out this article Free Traffic vs. Paid Traffic | Aff Playbook.com, giving a clear idea of what to opt for.

Both have its own advantages and disadvantages, I would prefer free traffic when my website has good content and SEO tactics. Use of social media can also be done with free traffic by linking my site to the social media platforms. But what it limits is the complete success. No assure success is guaranteed in this case.
Coming to the paid traffic, it is true that compared to free; it is more useful as there is higher scope to get more traffic. This includes the PPC strategies where you need to pay for your website hosting. Social media like Facebook and Myspace let you to get your website promoted through paid ads.

YouTube traffic works well and also natural type contents generate excellent traffic.

Paid traffic is the best because it is quick and effective , free traffic takes time to get and a lot off effort , Remember Time is costing you money. SStart off with a few dollars and scale up use the sales you get to buy more traffic , its the old saying "You got to crawl before you can walk " I personally like paid traffic because Its targeted. You get to the right people who are looking for what you are selling. II know the traffic is quality. Facebook PPC is what I use and I like it because it not expensive to do. Also Solo ADS are good .

Paid traffic has more pros than cons in comparison to free traffic, but the combination of the two would be ideal.

Paid Traffic is the way to go for me. I can set up a campaign in 20min and run traffic almost instantly. Optimize 5 min a day to get penny clicks and once your getting great CTR and know you have a winning offer.Bam. Pretty much on auto-pilot from there. When you want fresh leads and sales ... Just Turn it On!

Obviously Paid is going to get you traffic quicker than Free traffic. But it needs to convert to make you money.

My best advice is to do whatever you are comfortable with. If you don't want to spend money, then do free traffic, and just have patience with it.

I prefer free traffic rather than paid one. Why free, because free traffic only comes if my content adds value to the readers’ experience. The main advantage of free traffic is the really low or zero costs involved. If you do not want to shell out money to promote your website and are wondering how to still drive traffic, there are plenty of free traffic options available to you like Search Engine Optimization, YouTube videos, blogs, social media posts and many others.

There is no such thing like free traffic, free leads. Basically you can buy traffic or you can exchange your time for traffic. You need to ask yourself ''how much is my time worth to me?'' If you have the budget for advertising than paid targeted traffic will definately help your business. Still best results you will achieve when buyers come to you not the other way arnd. Also it depends what are your goals and what do you want to sell. Remember your offer is like needle in a haystack so you need a lot of traffic and when you think ''I sent 1000's of visitors to my offer'' send some more and make sure you track all your campaigns.

Paid traffic is my favorite because it's fast, you can tell the future of your business quickly, and it allows you to see the average lifetime value of a customer that you get with each sale. This alone will determine how you should be pricing your products.

  • the fastest way to get results and test my offers is use paid traffic solo ads , free takes time but give you continuity of traffic over time

  • Both. Free traffic is good because you dont have to spend anything, but paid traffic narrows down your target market. If you are a beginner you can go for free unless you set a high budget to pay for PPC campaigns and FB ads (just make sure your product/offer is enticing and of good quality).
