Am I right in thinking you can't sell get rich quick/ make money online products via clickbank? I remember reading something similar here but can't see anything at the clickbank policies page. Louis |

Funny, I was going through the rules on clickbank tonight, as I am thinking of using them for a book I have just written. I seem to remember someone grousing about how hard it is to get your first check off them and how they lay down requirements that certain credit cards have to be used to buy your product, when you start. I have gone through the website twice now and cannot find a mention of it. Does anybody know if this was true or have they changed their policy?

Scratch that last question, I just found it and it applys to affiliates. " ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met: * Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers and * Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers." guess it is to stop money laundering |

So, Clickbank collects the commission, but never pays it out.

They've been doing it for ages. I know a couple of people who have over a couple of grand stored up, and CB will not release the money. They (CB) say it's because the criteria hasn't been met yet, and until it does, the money will remain in CB's hands. This is one reason I do not run too many affiliate products with CB. At least not anymore. ![]() Mary

It would be easy enough to make some purchases to get those checks released. Just sitting there passively when you have 1000s of dollars earned is silly.

| The easiest way to find out is by submitting a product approval request. If they approve it, then you're fine. Generally what you need to avoid is promising people they will make X amount of money fast or without work or things like that. Yes, there could be overlap between that and the stuff they will accept. Also, they don't like products that discuss listbuilding at all, unless your initials are MF. Nobody seems to know why. |

Chris, I agree, but getting some of these people to do something about it is like pulling teeth. I figure, if they want to continue to let CB sit on their money, it's their fault. I get mione every month so it's no problem for me. Like I said earlier, I don't do that much CB business anymore. Not enough to worry about their policies. Mary |
