Anyone else have problems with Ezine approval?

I don't know what is happening with Ezine. I've had articles pending for over 10 days now and not even the first review done. No reply to mail.

Anyone else?

Jack, my brother has a new account also, says he waited 12 days for a batch to be approved this week. They must really be backed up over there.

I received a letter from Ezines saying that they have been receiving more submissions than usual so they are a little backed up right now.

Same here - I created a new author account and submitted 2 articles, over 10 days ago. I sent in a request for info, they said higher than usual submissions.

BTW, August is the month of Ed Dale's 30 Day Challenge, and they push ezinearticles a lot, so with all those fledgling marketers jumping in, that could have something to do with it.

Articles I submitted on Monday went live on Wednesday. They were pretty fast for me but I have not submitted anything for the last 6 days.

I plan on submitting some articles tonight so I hope they're not going to take 10 days to publish them. We'll see...

I have not had any problems. Did you read the "Do's and Don'ts" first? Also, they would notify you if there was a problem. There is a place to ask them your status. I think that articles that are not too very long are better.

Me too, I'm still waiting for my first article to be approved, been 12 days and no response to my email.

What's the story? Seems Ezine has completely shut down? Nothing happening for me and no email replies. Not so good customer service from Ezine. I guess it's on to GoArticles and Article Base.

I remembered my first article hit into complication and it took about a month before they approved it.

Well, guess this time round, they are pretty tied up with too many articles submitted. It will take them a while before approving since it is done manually.

Be patient and they will get to it.

I submitted 10 articles 2 days ago. This morning 4 of them were approved, the other 6 still pending.

Seems to be for the new ones. I have 2 accounts, my main one got approved in much the same time as normal (a few days) but the new one has been 8 days and it still hasn't got passed the first stage.

If it is because of that Ed Dale 30 Day Challenge then that would explain why they are backed up - though I would have thought they would have been aware of it and brought in extra people to try impress the new users.

I have the platinum account. (Not the premium $100 per month one.) I've had my account for quite some time so maybe John Hixon is right and the newer accounts take a little longer.

I too suspect the 30 day challenge could have something to do with the delay. An influx of new accounts and newly submitted articles would definitely slow things down. Things seem pretty normal for me though.

My account is old, but I did get a bunch of articles rejected after the they began tightening up, then resubmitted and got rejected again. Maybe Ezine has put my account on hold.

Yeah same here guys. I waited for 2 articls to be approved for around 15 days. Must be a busy time of year.

I have just submitted about 10 articles, guess I won't be seeing them live for a few weeks. Hopefully they will get around to them soon.

Hmm, I have had no problems, better shut my mouth though. Last week I had 1 approved in less than 2 hours, but it usually takes less than 48. Wednesday is article day for me as I like them to hit by the weekend. Short may have something to do with it. Mine are rarely over 300 words and I am platinum as well. Maybe its luck, I was moved to platinum on article 11.

i know a lot of people here are down on it but I have been doing very well since starting some experiements with Squidoo a few weeks ago. Some testing and playing has got my CTR through the roof - over 30% on some of them, which is far better than the average I was getting on EZA (between 5% and 10%).

It is ranking well too, but I have only tested in very easy keywords, I don't know how well it will do in competitive niches

Yes, me too have the same issue, My article was there for about 10-12 days, Later, I had contacted them via EZA. No reply, I contact again and again, I have got reply at the end and they approved my article, it took abt 15 days from the submision of the article.

It's understandable the people higher up the 'food chain' might get preferential treatment but it's hardly encouraging if they're trying to attract new authors (of course, that may be the point!).

Also, I imagine other article directories benefit from it, given that those who get tired of interminably waiting may simply drop EZA altogether, and move on to another directory?

I'm platinum too. It seems like you and I are having about the same results. Last week my articles took 24 to 48 hours. This week some were in 48 hours and the rest are still waiting.

No big deal, they may get approved today, if not I would expect that they will probably go live tomorrow.

So far I have not experienced any unusual time delays.

I have a few articles 'stuck' in initial review and I'm an expert author with an aged account.

The way I look at it, this situation is a blessing in disguise. Why? You can (a) keep writing/submitting articles to EZA while they're backed up and when the backlog gets cleared out ... you'll have a bunch of articles sending traffic to your blogs, money pages or opt-in pages; or (b) you can delete these pending articles & experiment with other article directories or web 2.0 sites that get big Google love.

Yep mine are approving in about 48hours
Platinum level.

The key thing to do is keep working, write more articles and keep submitting.

If you have done good research, written quality content and have good resource boxes then once the articles go live you should be well on your way.

I know that sometime I too get obsessed and get off track checking my rankings or seeing if an article is listed yet. countless hours wasted.

This stuff is less important than doing the money activities.
