Hi Warriors, I've created a product according to the principals in "Desperate Buyers Only." I already posted it in the Copywriters forum here, got some great feedback on my sales letter, and am still working on implementing those changes. My site is here: Stop Debt Collectors | Stop Collection Calls | StopDebtCollectors.org But my question now relates to the niche/micro-niche that this product deals with. My concern is that, while the niche and traffic is out there, and they are in many ways "desperate" for a solution to the problem, that they may be hesitant to spend money on solving it. My sEO traffic at this point is still fairly low, and my PPC budget is limited, so I don't have a lot of data to draw conclusions from. Wondered what other Warriors think about this, especially those that are familiar with DBO (or not, any feedback welcome!) |

Two quick things... The gap between your salutation and your first sub-head is too long. You need to get into a subhead sooner. Also, it would be a good idea to break up some of those three or four line paragraphs with a few short staccato sentences so reading doesn't seem so daunting. That's number one. Number two is the shimmering model saying "STOP". Not sure why you chose that graphic. You risk alienating women readers. Just a regular STOP SIGN graphic would work fine. Hope this helps. |

Your the 2nd person to mention the scantily clad vixen...Okay, I get it, will replace her, almost did that yesterday but got busy. Thanks. And yes, the long paragraphs are what I am still working through, will work on the subhead, etc. BUT - Any thoughts on the niche i.e. if my sales page were written perfectly, the potential for strong sales and conversions in this particular niche? *EDIT* Just added a sub head and swapped out the graphic... |

Take this with a grain of salt, but to me a "desperate buyer" is someone with an immediate problem they need to solve NOW. A severe headache or a bad toothache or your computer being infected with a nasty trojan - those strike me as problems someone would be desperate to fix right now (and therefore, more willing to pay someone to solve get rid of them quickly). I'm sure debt collectors calling is annoying, but it doesn't seem like a problem people would be desperate to get rid of. Not saying it's a bad niche. But if I were looking to target desperate buyers, it wouldn't be my first choice. |

On the other hand in this niche, what goes along with phone calls from creditors is the actual threats of lawsuits, and worse, the calls at work (which can get people in trouble with the boss) and probably the worse: when they start calling your relatives. IMHO, that can be particularly embarrassing and, at least in theory, could build some serious motivation in someone to get a solution... Either way, great feedback and you may be on to something I hadn't been able to see, so thank you.

I suppose it could vary, meaning someone who earns 100k a year and got in over their head with CC debt might be willing to drop 15 bucks in a heart beat to get some help dealing with a few charge offs, vs. the single mother of 3 working 2 jobs and still earning less than $25k a year....etc. But again, you have a point...for all I know, maybe this becomes a squeeze page give away in order to build a list for related backend marketing...

Here is a good example of what you could do: I was swimming in debt, debt collectors calling constantly. I managed to correct my debts and now learning about IM so I can try and prevent ever being in that situation again. From a lot of posts I've read, people are desperate to learn IM to help get out of debt, so maybe you could use the Stop Debt Collectors niche to build a strong list, and then show them how they too can make some sort of extra income online to prevent the debt issue happening to them again? Your product sounds very valuable, but maybe the value of a list generated could higher than the sales value in the long run? Help them deal with their debts, then help them prevent ever being in the situation again. Just an idea! |

FYI, it's a "belcher button" - I downloaded it from Perry Belchers site, and just modified the pricing..Point being, not sure why the code is acting like that... So I hear ya...But - please elaborate on what you are suggesting I do regarding "testing"... **EDIT** Having re-read this, it's pretty obvious you mean testing it against another buy button, which is probably a good suggestion. Still, I am pretty confident that if conversions don't pick up, it will have a lot more to do with the sales copy and the nature of the niche market than the buy button (centered or not..) but I realize testing everything is important, so will keep it in mind.
