Being new, I don't use any fancy programs yet, no market samurai, micro niche finder, etc., just the google keyword tool and exact searches in quotes. I actually have fun trying to find the really good keywords. Like today, I found a few with over 5,000 monthly searches, and 0 (yes, I said ZERO) exact phrase competition. I get a thrill out of these little "holy crap!" moments when I find those great long-tails! Maybe I'm just a crazy newbie, but anybody know what I'm talking about? |

Yes I agree. Keyword research can be pretty cool, especially when you find one of those great keywords with a lot of searches and no competition that you know you can cash in on. Kind of like hunting for treasure and finding that golden nugget that you know will make you money. It may take a lot of time and effort, but it is all worthwhile when you find the right keywords. |

I love keyword research... I like it too much. I have keywords I want to target that will take me well into 2020. Now it's time to just get on 'em.

Sometimes I can get real into it. I agree it's a great feeling when you hit the jackpot on a keyword!

I agree newbum. I love keyword research because you never know what you're going to find...and when you do find one of those jewels that put you in the number one spot on Google, it's on! I have several long tail keywords at that number one spot, and it's exciting. What seems to be a dichotomy though, is that the number one spot on Google can be worth thousands of dollars a month -- or it can be worth absolutely nothing, depending on the value of your keyword.

| I love keyword research; it is where I have all the fun. I found one in the husband cheating niche, it had over 1700 daily searches and 2000 in phrase competition. OCI was about 45-50% - But I can overcome this with good sales copy. Nice! Rob |

Well, yeah, I like digging up good keywords. It becomes boring when all I get is too much competition and less searches. ![]() But overall, I love it! |

I love keyword research long time... It's one of the grooviest aspects of the job other than hooking up clients with results...and even that starts with...yup you guessed it...solid keyword research. ![]() It's the juice that fuels the rocket. |

Keyword research is not really one of my favorite things..lol I experimented with a lot of the different keyword tools out there and just decided the Goolge tool is probably the best one... I did use tool called Wordpot for just some variety...

Take it a step further on the enjoyment, find that great keyword and then register the exact keyword domain as to your amazement nobody else has grabbed it ! I enjoy finding good keywords but I much prefer to use software as this is a massive time saver although doing it manually is still ok. |

I simply love keyword research. And because I have access to the right tools that write keyword rich, and human readable articles, I can target a large number of keywords that everybody else would bother with. This is due to low search volumes, but added together, these low search volume keywords all add up to several thousand searches a month, and zero competition. There are several keywords that I own in Google. HTH Glenn |

I love the HIGH that we get from keyword research too but we have to concentrate on what's after that. I try to limit my kwresearch to 30 minutes a day Then get to writing articles and content. If you hate doing this as much as I did, find ways to make it fun. Play some music lightly in the background Jump up and down to get your heart rate up a little just before you start writing. After submitting every article to ezine, I get up and swing my fist and say YES with full intensity... then I close my eyes and visualize my 6 figure checks coming in. Why? It makes me feel great. So the next time I think about writing and submitting an article, I get excited and actually do it! If you hate writing content, don't torture yourself, find ways to make it fun!
