Struggeling with finding my unique niche

Hi,
I want to start a blog and provide a high quality content, I was thinking a couple of days what kind of thing to write about but unfortunately I didn't find anything unique
I would be happy if you could give me some tips on how to find a niche
I'm interested in guitars but I don't know if it's unique enough ?

    If this is your passion, and if you are able to write the content to a extend that can show your great passion is already a nich.

    Go ahead, I am sure there are many guitar lover out there that can feel like you

    There are definitely ways to monetize a site about guitars.

    You can link to related products on Amazon as an affiliate (guitars, strings, picks, etc.) and there are some good products out there that teach people how to play the guitar (like Jamorama, search for it on ClickBank).

    Wishing you the best, especially since you don't have bad taste in music.

    There are definitely ways to monetize a site about guitars.
    I was in the guitar niche for four or five years.

    The only thing I found that consistently converted was Guitar Tricks.

    It's a tough crowd for email marketing.

      Well damn, I guess I assumed wrong.

      I was basing my assumption off the fact that guitar related material sells well to the right crowd as I've seen offline.

      Of course, that doesn't necessarily translate to a responsive audience online (the fact that you said it's a tough crowd for email marketing speaks volumes).

    In this era it's rather hard to be unique at something since a lot of things are covered by other. One of the ways to be unique would be to create quality content in any niche in different ways.

    For guitar I would imagine there are a lot of options how you can bring some value to other. Many products on Amazon can be covered as a review, a lot of tips and tricks that people get attracted to.

    One of the things that would strike people in any area would be viral stuff, like playing guitar on the streets in certain ways that only few do. People are interested in other styles of playing and that is where you can hoop in and get some traffic for start.

    What about guitars can you talk about that is unique to you...your point of view, your experience, your technique?

    What can you teach people, or how can you teach people, about guitar that is something that is "your own way"?

    Why should people tune into you instead of another guy?

    Center yourself on something you'd like to share. That will make you automatically enthusiastic in the right way.

    Once you figure this out, then your next step will be to find people who are interested in learning that thing from you...eg. "People who would like to learn to play guitar left-handed".

    Take a piece of paper and write down at least 10 to 20 things that you like. Usually its the last one you write will be your ticket. Of course you want to expand on that and make sure you have a demand for what you want to blog about.

    Man, don't be "looking for a niche"!!! Think about something you are passionate about and would be able to write about on a regular basis. Once you find that topic - try to create your own approach to talking about it. Read what other people write and practice your own style..... The formula is: Favorite Subject + Unique Approach=Success

      Absolutely right 2011mckinsey!
      Sometimes the human mind (psychology) has a need to find an absolute niche with a desired "payoff".
      The secret is to do what you love and have knowledge/passion about. The rest will take care of itself. It always does.

        Focus on finding something:

        1.) That you are passionate about, and therefore will really enjoy talking about.

        2.) That you know in your head that you have a million different blog post topics to write about.

        3.) That you feel you can really help/inspire others by sharing your point of view.

        Then, think of ways in which this topic can be monetized. What types of products can you create and/or recommend? advertising on your site?

        It may take years, but one day it will just 'click' for you. In the meantime, learn all you can about setting up your first passive income system (website creation, installing shopping cart, product uploads, building traffic, etc...).

        I've built about 5 websites so far, each one had a different monetization strategy...1 of them and spent lots of time in creating, and I put lots and lots of content on it. I never spent much time marketing it though. That site makes me like $20 a month, and in all honesty it's not even really a great site or idea!

        The other 4 sites, I gave up on before I ever got to the point of having them live on the web. They were much better ideas in my opinion, and they probably would've performed much better had I never given up on them. Obviously they make me no money since I never "followed through".

        But that one site, my first one, that baby gets maybe 50 visitors a day, and it still manages to make little trickles of income for me.

        The big lesson to take from this is that I now know very well how to set up a passive income system. In order to actually make money, the "work" is in creating constant new content and constantly marketing my site everywhere!

        So find something that your passionate about, and just start doing it, you'll learn how to iron out all the details along the way.

    Sorry I keep pressing enter and sending half comments :S Well as I was telling, you just need to add your unique touch, guitars its a pretty bread niche, so even if you can talk about all the subject, your unique touch will be the "compilation" visitors can find in your blog, like, they know your blog has cool version of classics from the 80 to play on the guitar and interesting guitar brand facts or stories or something like. Just try stuff, good luck!

    An idea that brings you up is all about relates to your interest, your passion and the things you are fond of, so finding the unique niche for your blog is something that you know very well and you are passionate about. The content will automatically come up for your blog if you really think that this is your unique quality you wants to represent.
