I hope this isn't considered dirty...

I need to get great ideas for subject titles for auto-responders, and so like I do with most other things I thought I would just get ideas from the big to medium sized guns.

I want to sign up using a semi-junk email address to a bunch of email lists to get ideas that I can store for the future... so I probably won't be much of a "buyer" on these lists. Sorry if that is playing dirty.

My question: So... any suggestions on whose list(s) I should sign up for, to get myself some awesome, unparalleled, mind-blowing subject lines to add to my repertoire? Links to their lists would also be appreciated, if possible. Thanks!

Hey not sure about which lists to join but if you want good subject lines, try checking out article directories and using the most read article titles for inspiration.

It is not dirty at all. This is just building a swipe file. Lots of people do it. I have read that it is the thing to do. Makes sense to me.

yep good idea nate - with so much email often times it's unlikely that someone on your list (depending on which niches you play in I guess) - will end up realising that you have aquired email titles from someone else - it's not something that I do but rather I'd tend to take the gist of things and reword accordingly.

BTW - if you want to deal with lots of mail and don't want to bombard your own accounts - i used a thing called yuhknow . com for quite some time when I was experimenting with safelists - it's a useful service that keeps your mainstream accounts out of harms way.

    Cheers

Thanks for the tips guys! "Swipe file" - I was trying to think of that word when writing this post, it just didn't come to me. I'm gonna go sign up for all those. Thanks again.

Yeah, this is done frequently....subscribe to lots of lists and save them in a separate file for further use...

A lot of marketers making good incomes now have started this way to get ideas...A lot of people do this....
