Default Few Qs about selling my own ebook? (First Post)

Hi all, I am almost finished writing my first e-book to do with travel. I have heard that clickbank is a great place to sell it because other affiliates will sell it on my behalf. I would also plan on creating my own landing page to sell this. I plan on writing articles for EZA and other sites, is adwords worth playing around with for ebooks? I have used it a little before when experimenting with affiliate marketing. I am also thinking about setting up a blog. When it comes to keywords, I am slightly confused as I've read a number of contradiictory things about finding keywords?

To summarise, my questions are below:

1) Is it worth using clickbank or should I go it alone?
2) Should my landing page be a single "sales" page (by that I mean lettter saying why you should by with testimonials, bonuses etc)?
3) Should I use Adwords to promote my ebook?
4) Should I create a blog with the same articles as I submit to EZA, or should I backlink, or something else?
5) When it comes to URLs for my landing page, are there any guidelines in terms of including keywords in the domain name I purchase?
6) I see a large number of methods for finding keywords. I'd like to keep it simple and don't mind buying the odd bit of software, so any tried and tested advice would be appreciated.

Sorry for the plethora of questions, just trying to get my head round so many things at the same time

Thanks guys!

I definitely recommend using Clickbank for a number of reasons. First, they're a highly trustworthy payment processor. I have never had any bad experiences with Clickbank, yet I've had several big problems with Paypal.

Also, as you pointed out, other affiliate marketers can jump on your bandwagon and start promoting your product for you. Huge plus. Don't expect this to happen immediately. The best way to cultivate affiliates to sell your stuff is to contact all of the sites in your niche and try to enlist them. You'll need to create an affiliate page on your website that explains how it works and makes it easy for them to set up a Clickbank account, or if they already have one, to copy and paste their "hoplinks," insert their own ID, and start promoting you.

As far as paying money for Adwords, there is whole craft and science to doing that correctly. I lost patience with it, after burning through several hundred dollars per week and seeing no results. It's not as easy as it sounds to run an effective Adwords campaign, especially if you're competing in a busy niche.

Clickbank is very good but if you are on a budget there is always paydotcom which is very popular especially among newbies on the wf.

A single page on a specific domain works a treat you can always have a contact, terms, privacy pages too.

i wouldnt use adwords unless you are experienced in them as there are lots of free traffic methods without the need for them. I personally dont use them and get great sales through to my products

you also need a good affiliates page with banners etc to get the affiliates sales moving.

If you are creating a blog for articles why not do it on the subdomain and use it for building the brand of your ebook i.e. ebookname.com/blog you can start it out with a special offer for the product, affiliate program etc then follow it up with the ezine articles and point them to the article.

You dont have to have keywords in the domain name the title of the product works best.

There is no need to spend on software wordtracker is the perfect option.

Kind regards
