Don't you just love AOL users?

Is it my imagination or do people with the dreaded "AOL" in their email address always need a lot more hand holding and explanation when they make a purchase?

Is it just me?

    Just you.

Knowing most may be AARP members helps. If they find my promotion, buy, then they get serviced same as anyone else.

Have no "dread" over my AOL customers. Warriors? That's a real nightmare, HA!

      heheh so true.

I will say after much ribbing from me over the years my 86 year old Dad finally saw the light and after 19 years got rid of his AOL address ( and $10 a month fee ) to get a Free Gmail address

Many of those long-time loyal customers were also stock shareholders in the early days. They are the ones laughing now.

AOL is classic. Does it still exists, by the way? LOL.

AOL is one of the and first major source of e-mails. It's one of the best.

Not only does AOL still exist, but they're very happy to continue accepting their customers' money every month.

I have found that many AOL customers don't realize that they can keep their @aol.com email address for free, and that they do not have to keep paying a monthly fee if they do not necessarily need the dial-up service. You have an excellent opportunity to establish good will with such people by helping them to understand just that!

By the way, before you roll your eyes at the phrase "dial-up service", please understand that there are quite a number of people (in America, at least) who simply can't get better Internet service where they live. It's not from a lack of ability or knowledge or even money. Trust me, most of them want broadband; they just can't get it.
