Do fat loss offers still work?

Some say "fat loss" and "pickup & pua stuff" is dead.

Some say it's evergreen.

How are these 2 niches doing right now as far as you know?

Is this still the magic formula? VSL + TARGETED TRAFFIC

    Hello George Lucas,

I think it's obvious for most marketers that there is a lot of competition in fat loss.

On the other hand, even if there is a lot of offer, there is also an ever going demand. From that perspective you can say that this is an evergreen niche.

It all comes down to whether you can draw part this traffic for your own.
It's very easy to get lost in the competition, that's the reason most people
try to avoid this niche nowadays.

If you believe you have a good, innovative idea that can get you a nice chunk of traffic, then go for it.

Fat/weight loss and dating/relationships are 2 highly lucrative markets that are very much still alive, and they always will be.

The catch is that these markets are fiercely competitive and that's why it's so hard for many to make a decent income with them.

    Regards,
    Daniel

One thing that helps if you want to enter the weight loss market is to specialize and focus on a smaller niche market where you have a chance to gain some visibility.

You could focus on certain types of diets, i.e., Paleo, Low Carb, or a certain group, like women in their fifties etc.

Either way, you should work on establishing yourself as an expert in your chosen niche, create a blog with valuable content and focus on gathering leads, maybe with a special report, before you send them off to the affiliate offer etc.

      Good luck!

Yep they still work. And will NEVER slow down as long as we have crap they call food

But as one person said you need to break it down into smaller sub niches

Supply and demand. The US alone has a very major overweight problem especially among young children. Fat loss will never fade out. The key is to have a good product that is proven to sell with low refunds and then to separate yourself from all the other affiliates and give people a reason to buy from you.

Fortunes continue to be made by those who know what they're doing - but for those who don't, these 2 niches are as dead as a door nail.

Nope, humanity just had a great awakening, and now everyone has suddenly become totally rational about their health, well being, and fitness. Nobody is ashamed of being fat anymore, but the pounds will come off over the next couple of months as the junk food companies retool to grow greens, bean and seed sprouts, bake whole grain breads, make fresh juices, etc.

We will all be exercising daily from now on, eating only what our bodies tell us they want, no longer crave sugar or drugs of any kind, and live happily ever after.

And if you believe that, step right over to the WSO section-have I got a deal for you...

I am a supplier for a lot of the weight loss products and I have people coming in new to it all the time that are doing well. So if you do it right there's plenty of room!

Especially if you are working with a company that's releasing a lot of new products that are "the next big thing"

We try to do a couple of new ones each month that our big clients hit hard and usually do well with.

Not even close. The "golden age" of weight loss and dieting is booming, as obesity is becoming more common, serious, and costly.

Over a third of adults in the US are obese, with growing related medical complications including heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer.

  • Ultimately the world is getting fatter right across the globe so the weight loss niche itself will always be booming.

Having said that, some products in the weight loss niche may have a limited shelf life or be more fad-like while others will continue to work and be popular indefinitely.

I think many marketers would agree that with a competitive niche like fat loss etc, building a list and offering great value in tip emails and product recommendations is the way to go so that you can build a relationship and build credibility with your readers.

    Hope that helps.

    Have a blissful day.

From a personal perspective I've worked in the surgical weight loss area for a number of years and in that niche, which is continuously evolving and maturing, the trend has shifted from the original Lap band towards a gastric sleeve type solution.

The non-surgical or non-invasive options that have grown in the last few years are gastric balloons that are inserted for 6 months.

The need for weight loss whether it be just due to perception or actual medical intervention because of co-morbidities like sleep apnoea, type 2 diabetes or polycystic ovarian syndrome is strongly growing in Australia as a surgical solution becomes more acceptable instead of dieting.

So from a perspective of a growing section of the market I'd say weight loss in general will always be strong.

As for the dating area...I've heard thinner is more "datable" so they are linked.

Maybe a dating product for post surgery individuals would be a good area to work on.

      Best regards,

      Ozi

        Ozi
If the phrase "surgical solution becomes more acceptable instead of dieting" accurately sums up an Australian trend, then I feel very sad for fat Aussies who buy that dream.

Nearly everyone who wants to lose weight is strongly tempted by the many "solutions" on the market which offer the hope of not having to change what they eat. But if a long term (more than a few months), solution is sought, then the denial has to end-there is no other way to solve a problem caused by bad diet and lack of exercise, than to correct those things. Trying to avoid the obvious (change what caused the problem) ends badly.

Addressing bad diet with surgery is like addressing a gas tank full of bad gas by towing the car to your next destination; it helps for a minute, but then you still have to replace the bad fuel with good fuel to drive it again, and you must regularly give your car the good fuel, and drive it a bit to keep things from corroding, unless you want to hire a tow for every trip to the store. The least we can do is treat our bodies with as much respect as we do our vehicles; by giving them the good fuel and exercise they require-no options, no alternatives exist that will save someone in denial about those core issues.

Everyone who eats a diet consisting mainly of healthy, whole, plant based foods, some of which should be in the raw form, and the rest you should cook yourself; which includes few if any of the prepared "foods" that dominate the inner isles of every grocery store, is guaranteed excellent results. No fad or radical solution will ever improve upon good diet and exercise; the main pillars of good health. Anyone who says they followed this advice and failed to get good results, cheated. It is very very difficult for people to be honest with themselves, let alone, others, about what they eat. But the rewards of honestly sticking to a healthy diet are massive and well worth the effort.

Eat fresh, whole, plant based, plenty of raw foods, and cook it yourself, (avoid overcooking, sugary foods, oily fried foods, overly salted, and prepared foods), and you can't go wrong. Honestly followed, that simple, boring formula has the power to transform, and even save lives. The only trick is the part about being honest with ourselves; we seem to have an infinite capacity for self deception when it comes to attempts to change habits we get emotional gratification from.

PS: to clarify, I don't believe "dieting" specifically designed for weight loss helps many people, and most so called "weight loss diets" are very hard to stay on, many backfire because they fail to provide all needed nutrients, lead to cravings, and often to the yo-yo effect; more weight comes back on at the end of the diet than was shed during it; all that pain and exhausting use of willpower, for nothing. Quickly losing weight isn't a great goal; we need a diet which is healthy in the long term, allows our bodies to settle into their ideal weight over time, and is satisfying and sustainable. I know; that's not exciting. But it is real.

So when I say "healthy diet", I mean "diet" in the sense of simply "what we eat"-not in the sense of "follow this exact regimen to shed x pounds in x weeks". All anyone needs is to simply, eat nothing but, or at least a vast majority of, excellent, plant based, whole foods. I think every meal should be a pleasure, and not a cause of an internal battle of the will against the appetite due to the fact that "diets" usually mean simply deprivation. Few people can deprive themselves for long, hence the disappointing roller coaster ride.

These niche are popular and will likely always be. Also remember that these are niches that can be promoted worldwide not just in the USA. People get so caught up trying to get US traffic they don't realize that people in Singapore, Netherlands, South Africa and other countries want to lose weight and get women too.

As long as there are fat folks who want to lose weight the Fat Loss market will prosper. Drill down on that keyword and uncover sub niches also.

I have done pretty good with weight loss, but what is hot can change very fast and I have no experience with PUA.

As far as what most will call "evergreen", I have done much better / extremely well with dating. The payouts are much lower, but it's a free offer...free to sign up, so the conversions are much higher and the bottom line is ROI is drastically higher.

Probably 90% of the offers that I promote are PPL (pay per lead) because there is no credit card required, all a user has to do is fill out a form to make money, so conversions are typically much higher than offers that require a purchase.
