Opinion on Setting Up New Funnel For Online Course...

Hey Warriors...

I'm about to launch a new online course soon and it will be in the $147 to $179 range roughly. It's in a hobby niche.

I'm going to setup a free 5-part email series to new viewers to pull them into my funnel first before trying to sell them on the main course.

Then after I deliver value in the email series, I'll introduce them to my main course near the end. I do plan on using affiliates for this down the road as well, keep this in mind.

In any case, I'm thinking about setting all of this up in one of two ways...

Option #1. Sales letter on main URL. Separate URL or page for free email course.

Option #2. Free email course squeeze page on main URL. Separate page for sales letter on same domain.

I'm sure either option will work, but I'm also trying to take in account of maximizing future affiliates for this as well.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Hey Dylan, I'll just give you my 2 cents as an affiliate myself.

Personally, I don't really mind whether the sales page or the opt-in page is on the main URL so long as I can choose which page to send the traffic to.

Affiliates who are sending cold traffic may prefer to send clicks to a squeeze page so you can warm up the traffic to increase sales, while those who have an email list will repeatedly send traffic to the sales page as they're already doing all the "warming".

    Regards,
    Daniel

Depends somewhat on how you are getting traffic. If its in search, a squeeze page only on your home page is going to be difficult to rank. PPC makes no difference, affiliates might want a choice with no other leaks.
