It seems as though Google has finally got to big for their boots. If your site gets infected with malware as one of my friends site did it can take weeks to get the site released. Not only that but you will probably loose all your ranking as well. I appreciate that google is providing a security service but maybe they have not thought it through properly as I imagine it will start knocking them off their pedestal as one of the great performers of 2000. What are your thoughts? Quentin |

Don't get me started about Google! Just had my Adwords accounts suspended indefinitely after the released a new policy - without notifying anyone (Google Money Tree policy)! Called them several times but got no compassion. Two years of building up campaigns, thousands of hours, gone just like that. I was happy to remove the offending ads (they only made up about 10% of my revenue) but they just didn't care at all. |

Several of my sites recently got attacked with malicious javascript insertion and I had all kinds of those Google malware pages showing up (quite distressing!) But I added them all to Google Webmaster, removed all of the malicious javascript, request re-inclusion with an explanation and it took less than a week for all of my sites to reappear, rankings were fine. It stinks if others are having worse problems though, but for me it didn't go too badly. Karen |

My one site got a fraud warning and altough I removed the infected content it is still the same. I do think this is a problem as I did get a warning from my datacenter. Imagine if everybody starts blocking you for all kinds of problems. What makes me mad is that it is not even me that was the culprit. Soon a offline website will be the safest. |

Thanks for that link! I bought a dozen domain names a few years ago and then never got into IM so now like 8 of them have that stupid warning page from google. My webhost told me that hackers installed malware in my code I left sitting (I played around with one-click installs like zencart, wordpress, image gallery, phpbb forum, etc, etc) and just left them online.... well after a couple years of doing nothing with them and not updating the software, a bunch of my sites became "possible attack sites" even though Google says it was without my knowledge. Good thing I have several I can work with right now I will read your article and try to get my domains clean!
