Is this a wining strategy?

Hello Dear friends,

Somone adviced me to build up a products review blog with wordpress, and to include my affiliate link inside. Is this a good way in your opinion? any suggestions to improve it?

thanks.

If you mean using a free WordPress.com site, that's a terrible idea.

You can lose your site at any moment as it doesn't actually belong to you, so there goes all your hard work - not to mention that WordPress.com doesn't like people using the site for marketing purposes.

Build your own site, it will cost you $15/year to get a domain with privacy settings from Namecheap.com, and you can get web hosting for less than $10/month from many different providers.

Better to be safe than sorry.

If you meant with your own self-hosted WordPress.org site, your plan will be more effective if your build an email list from your site visitors.

    Regards,
    Daniel

It looks like a decent start (assuming you are purchasing your own domain and hosting and not relying on a free wordpress site.)

Yes it is a good idea, as long as it isn't the free wordpress blog. But be sure to focus on a particular niche, then all you will have to do later to make the blog better is to add some normal helpful articles.

Product review videos using Youtube is a bit better than any blog, if you decide to go the free way (not creating a site). IMHO.

  • Your post doesn't provide too much information. I agree with everyone else, you must have a blog on your own domain and you must provide quality content and information to your blog visitors.

You can't put anything up willy nilly with a few affiliate links and make a few sales -- those days are long gone.

Be prepared to put some effort in yourself or higher top quality article writers to help you with your needs and try less selling and more educating, and building trust and credibility.

Just keep going, just keep going .

    Have a blissful day.

That's fine but the secrets are NICHE SELECTION (find products that have high dollar value and have a strong driven demand base) and TRAFFIC.

    No Traffic = No Money.
