What would you do in this situation ??

Hey warriors, I have a little problem. For the next 2 weeks I will be some place without my laptop it's kind of like a retreat thing for my girl friend that I have to go to. But I will have my iPhone with me. My main problem is that I am working on something and I need to run a certain type of software. But I don't think I can run it off of my phone. I really can't afford to wait the two weeks. I was thinking I should hire a freelancer to run it for me but I don't know where to find someone. What would you do in this situation?

    I'd suggest you not complicate this too much...

    Do you have any close friends or family who know how to run the software? Or at least willing to learn how?

    If the answer is no, then the most feasible option would be to hire a freelancer as you mentioned.

    Try Upwork.com or Freelancer.com if you don't know where to start looking.

    What type of software is it? Does it require any particular skills and expertise to use it? More detail then people can provide clearer advice.

    Is it possible to set up a WIN remote server using an app with your phone?

    Does the software run automatically or does a person have to do something? If it runs automatically, you may be able to just leave your PC on while you're away. Close any other non-needed applications that may be running. You'll be fine your PC doesn't freeze.

      Get a remote desktop app for your phone, and remote connect to your home machine. I did it with a tablet a while back. Not necessarily an efficient way to work, but you can get the job done with enough patience.

      I'm sure your girlfrien will appreciate the fact you're already trying to get out of spending time with her, though.

      I left the 'd' out, because if you go to the retreat and don't focus on work -- she'll take it from you.

    I agree with one suggestion... Go with upwork and freelancer or look for Warrior for Hire sections
    You'll get tons of people with their proposal... Select someone with good reputation.

    You could try hiring a freelancer. There are lots of people who are willing to do your job just of course with a right amount of money.

    Just make sure to hire a reliable one.

    If you can't find one, better to stay home and do your job. Explain it to your girlfriend she might understand your situation.
