Digg traffic is not that good but their backlinks are nice. People on Digg are savvy and won't usually buy your stuff or click on ads.
This is true -- they don't buy or click.

  • Digg is a great source of traffic (and backlinks, apparently), but it's a tough nut to crack. I've found that topics that are either highly controversial or funny get the most action there. You need a real zinger of a headline. That's probably the most important part. It helps if you can have 2-3 friends digg your post to keep it from sinking to the bottom.

Digg traffic comes if you have a keyword in google front page for me, but from digg users not that much.

Digg traffic itself is a waste of bandwidth. A few years ago, before YouTube even existed I used to analyse trending videos on Google videos and submit shooting stars to Digg, after whacking them on my own domain. I must have been on the front page 50 odd times. The main benefit were backlinks due to the amount of people syndicating Digg's content and blogging about things they find on the front page.

While you were reading my signature your competitor was entering yet another niche.

I second that. I have had a major increase in traffic one day, but ZERO increase in sales.

I'm not crazy about Digg, but yes it's great for backlinks and to check out some great topics.
