Tips for making money with a niche site

Morning!

I'm earlobe deep into creating my latest product and was researching how to create and monetize niche sites.

I found

How to Build a Niche Site That Brings in at Least $500/Month

and

How to Build a Niche Site

to be particularly fascinating.

Why?

Look at the number of steps that's involved!

I mean, if you check out bunches of the Make Money Online products you see all over the place....

... the sales page makes it seem easy-peasy to accomplish.

But in reality....

It's like building a mansion.

You don't start buy furnishing non-existent spaces!

Instead, you create the foundation first (buy a website domain)...

... Add some walls (build out that website with your articles/authority)

... Furnish the rooms (monetize the site)

and the like.

Your takeaway?

It takes *time*.

It's almost never pushbutton simple.

And that's okay.

    With the use of paid traffic you could easily earn a good revenue.

    It would be a lot harder if you start from nothing. You have to have a sufficient background about what you are entering.

    It is not that easy and it takes a lot of patience.

    Folks, if you're serious about making money online...

    You WORK for it.

    It's not a push-button thingee where you simply spend 3 minutes online and then earn a bazillion dollars.

      Or as I like to say, "the internet is not a magical place where you don't have to work to build a real income or business".

    Building a niche site or any site and marketing it is no easy task. You need to put in a lot of effort into it. No matter how you plan to make money in the online sphere, let me tell you that it is not going to be easy. You're going to have to work hard and use your unique set of talent to get ahead in this race. Just sharing my two cents here.

    One thing to keep in mind is that when you are just starting out, and you are putting in the work, you may not have a lot of visible results.

    I lived in Minnesota back when they built the Metrodome stadium. They leveled the ground, then started on the project. Driving by, you could not tell any progress was being made. For months (might even have been a couple of years), it looked like nothing was happening.

    From above, though, it was like watching an anthill, with a swarm of activity as they excavated the site, built the foundation and started building the stadium itself.

    "All of a sudden", there was visible progress, with the rise of the outer walls, and finally the inflation of the dome. Now they were getting somewhere!

    But they still had a long way to go before they had a finished product.

    Building a long term successful business will be the same way - lots of work for not much immediate payback, then a bloom of visible results, followed by ongoing improvement and maintenance.

    Of course, you won't have to invest $600 million to get there...

      Exactly, I'm currently working really hard online with little success to show. But it's better than before and I know if I push further, I can succeed. Between so many people telling me I can't make it, thank you for being a person who tells it like it is.

      Also, I'm new to the warrior forum and don't know how things work. I clicked the thank button and for some reason they told me that I didn't have enough credentials.

      Yep, I think sometimes when I look down on Warrior Forum from atop I see many of those "ant hills" that are continuously being decimated from the lure of quick and easy money.

      It's ashame but a good metaphor.

      Sometimes I think if we had more people adopting the Mindset of the worker drone ( with more mindfulness of course) in an ant colony we would see more successful people

    I think It's not for beginners because they will face a problem of how to get traffic to their website .. i mean they will use paid traffic which needs money to drive traffic and make sales

      You don't always need paid traffic. You can do without any paid traffic. There is Social Media, SEO and many other ways to drive traffic to yous site. You just have to work hard consistently and be passionate.

    Try and try until you succeed. It doesn't mean that if you have a guide to do things about IM and those people are successful using it, it will happen also to you. Those guides are made sometime before, search engine algo changes now and then. You need to formulate your own.

    In IM there are barriers, which stop progress, and there are hurdles, which take some effort to get over. I like hurdles because the screen out the majority of people that are unwilling or unable to get over them.


    Hurdles are good because they thin the herd, weeding out the people unwilling to put in the effort eliminating most of the would-be competition.


    Sure, a few things can be a headache, but a couple of aspirin are really cheap.

    Making money online is so hard and it has no push and earn button . You need and time,consideration to your work and hard work also. So it is also hard to earn money from first day but you can make good money after some hard work and consideration.

    I have a good M-F job, full time. Plus I like what I do, so it's a good thing.

    So if I built a niche site on the side (or maybe more than one?), I could expect a side income in 6 months or so? (Hopefully?) Is that pretty much the plan?

      Yes, with steady posting of quality content where you gradually start putting in an affiliate link and doing some keyword SEO, expect 6 months to start earning. It's a decent plan, and it has worked for people if they don't give up too soon.

    Great post barbling I was already a fan of the "Location Rebel". He does great job.

    I would also just add that right from the start why not create your website to have appeal to future website investors.

    Once a niche site earns any revenue at all (and sometimes even with no revenue) you have the potential to Flip If for a nice lump sum.

    But if you want the big bucks hold on to it for at least 8 months and build that revenue stream consistently.
