Stop Selling The $10 Ebooks??

So I have heard this being discussed on warrior forum before, but I thought it was about time to clear things up.

I have found it much easier to sell HIGH TICKET items, affiliate programs, other peoples video [which work really well] or stuff or high quality content.

I have heard it before, stop selling CRAPPY $10 Ebooks, its just as easy to sell $1000 course.

Well....yes, and NO....... its not as simple as that.....

you first need to realise, the best way to do this, is

- GIVE away FREE STUFF first

- Get them on your LIST

then Go after the Anaconda, not the mouse. Meaning going after the bigger higher priced products, can increase your income.

Sure I have seen lots of people kill it, even on here I know a warrior that sells like $17 ebooks in the WSO and makes like $5000 - $6000 per month.....

However,......

People these days, even after the GFC will still pay lots of money for stuff if it is good.

To make it even sweeter, you can offer a BONUS, a video, or something that you have had in your secret weapons tool for years to sweeten the deal.

On occasions I have actualy had a bonus so good, my clients bought the whole thing, just so they could get the BONUS!!! the thing is, you have to make it good, and it will be like bees to honey, [so to speak]

If you like FRANK KERN, if he is chasing a big item, like a car on a PRODUCT launch he will wait for the next guy to offer a bonus and then make his even bigger. Sort of like "MINE IS BIGGER THAN HIS!"

And naturally, I have learnt alot from just reading, studying and buying stuff from FRANK KERN over the years. He is killer at making people loose their lollies, and buy stuff without even hesitating.

Even if you do not have the money I urge you to get on FRANK KERNS list, and do not buy his stuff, JUST watch the master at work. He sells big ticket items all the time and does like $1 million USD in sales, because he is a master at this.

Basically he can create good content, and offer BONUSES to sweeten the deal.

Hence you DO NOT NEED A BIG LIST TO MAKE good money online.

Frank kern said he once made about $1 million dollars from a list of about 3000 people. No joke, It can be done with big ticket stuff. He does this with irresistible offers, and great content. If you get the person thinking, "wow this free stuff is darn awesome, imagine how good the paid stuff is!"

You could even go over to fiverr.com and get someone else to create a bonus offer for a high ticket item and do it that way. I have done this a few times as well. You can even offer a physical item like a smaller IPAD or SILVER 1 OUNCE COIN or what not, depending on what niche you are in.

also instead of one bonus, you CAN STACK.....

meaning you are add 2-3 bonuses on top of the first! Like I said you need to make a bigger ticket item sell, so you need to make the BONUS/s very irresistible.

Tell them what they are getting and list as many benefits they are getting, and even give them a sneak peak if need be.

In the end, you can go from selling lots of little cheap $10 ebooks, [in high volume] to selling maybe 2 or 3 big ticket items, $1997 each month to make more than a good living.

You could even use the $10 ebook as an entry to the bigger stuff, and do it that way.

But I just see that too many times people talk about selling high price stuff is hard to sell. NO IT IS NOT!! The conversions rates are basically the same, you just have to find the right people, and offer higher quality stuff.

Its a simple way for a newbie to go from $0 a month, to $4,000 - $5,000 very fast. As long as you do it via the foundation of LIST BUILDING and RELATIONSHIP building also.

Hope this helps someone.

Cheers.

This is the second great post I have read today and you are 100% right

I remember when Andy drop the first Boss course and their were Warriors wants to have his baby lol , but what I think he showed was how to do a great product and good free giveaways

The issue today is Mindset and the hand holding to help them! MHO is that if there were 10 websites only one would have the best deal because the others are full of crap PLR that is so old for bonuses they just don't know or care about the customer they just want the sale.

And why we have the $7 WSOs sprouting this is the best way it will be a lost cause IMHO

I get them in with a freebie and qualify them with a small purchase. I want to know if they have the willingness and more importantly, the ability to pay before I get carried away trying to sell them high ticket items.

Neither one. Always push for the initial sale (even if it's just a $10 ebook) to build a list of buyers. In my experience, a list of "freebie seekers" will seldom (if ever) respond to any high end offer.

So you wouldn't build a audience/list first to push for sales?

In all of my niches, audiences are well established through article syndication in online/offline publications. Regular readers of my articles are effectively subscribers to my lists by proxy.

When they buy a nominally priced product, they are invited to subscribe for exclusive information, updates, etc. Subsequent emails promote additional products queued up with incrementally escalated price points.

In my not so humble opinion, it's far better to sell the book first to build a list of buyers. Initial buyers tend to be much more receptive to subsequent offers. I have neither the patience nor temperament for coddling freeloaders.

Is there any reason (to people who want to sell... really understand...) why there is a high ticket item... and why there is a low ticket item... and why (if any) there is a medium ticket item?

I concentrate on high ticket items outside the IM/ MMO niche.

    Try thinking outside the box.

There are literally TONS of opportunities and niches.

Excellent post. If your offer is irresistible and you get it in front of the right people, selling high ticket is not as difficult as one may think.

As with a lot of things on here it depends on the variables. What is your niche, how are you positioning yourself, what's the customer jpurney, ehat mindset were they in when they came to you etc.

I work is several niches where I go straight for the high-end sale. The way I look at it is if you were selling high end sports cars you would first try and sell a car air freshener.

It's about being aware of the variables.

I love selling high-end but don't discount the bottom of the market either, poundshops are big business. If you get traffic and repeat buyers you dont need to sell high end. In fact it could hurt your business.

For me it's horses for courses.

Everybody is sharing their own experience here...
Best suggestion would be to try out all options available and then only decide the future course of action. I don't think, in the marketing world....anyone can give a guarantee...which path will give you most rewards..

Test, Test and Test and then decide.

No, you need to build a list first if you want to sell more than one ebook to someone

Writing sales material for high ticket items is easy.

But what about creating those items in the first place?

Not everyone can create a huge course worth $2000. And not every niche even has space for products like that.

There are number of big Marketers that you can leverage with and sell some of their big ticket items and split the commission with. Alex Jeffrys, a warrior here, has a number

IMO, the topic of this thread is one where there is no right or wrong way to execute your business. You choose the audience you want to go after and cater to their needs and desires.

For some audiences (specific niches), there may not be a high ticket product or affiliate offer that will meets their need. That is not what they are requesting and people in that market may not be big spenders.

For other audiences the demand will be different.

In still other audiences, there will be plenty of room for both large ticket and small ticket offers.

What I'm saying is this: Every market is different and as a marketer it's your challenge to identify what that market is calling for. When you understand where the demand is, you can then test to see what price points will be profitable as you sell into that demand.

There is nothing "one-size-fits-all" about Internet marketing.

You choose a market to attack, you research to find where and what the demand might be, you test and track to see where the price point "sweet spots" lie, and then you do your marketing. Sometimes you can choose to cater to the high-enders, other times you may not have a choice.

There is no right or wrong way to market to the exclusion of all other ways.
