I agree that the popularity of Bing is increasing day by day. Also, Microsoft and Yahoo tight up together to bit Google's market. However, still Yahoo and Bing have a long path to touch Google.

Bing will gain popularity, but I doubt they will overtake Google. If they do, it will take years and years.

What a huge opportunity we have in front of us as marketers... Let the big boys slug it out and keep your eyes peeled for opportunities to jump on and take advantage of.

It would be interesting to see what happens in the PPC arena. Can you see costs going down for us advertisers? Also, there will be a window of opportunity for arbitrage so watch for that... heck it may in fact be happening right now!

Bing has been edging it's way into the referral stats for my sites quite rapidly recently...

Getting close to competing with google for most of my sites...

Has anyone else seen this trend?

I have seen an increase in the traffic that comes from Bing, I have a blog that I have been working to get past #5 on Google that ranks #1 on Bing.

Funny but when I check my logs under referring search engines I have Google obviously, but Bing comes up under referring sites.

Digg comes up under search engines too

Years ago Yahoo was the search leader and Google way surpassed them. Yahoo had commercials running on television all the time. Google was simply better.

Mac was more popular than PC's back in the early 80's then PC's left them in the dust until recently when Mac is now getting more market share than just graphic designers.

Google can get knocked down - will Bing do it? I don't know.

I have sites that i let fall by the wayside for one reason or another that Google never liked much, but Bing is got me listed in top spots and I am seeing a resurgence of visitors, so I'm liking it.

There is such a thing called law of regression to mean.

What goes up must come down someday.

If one looks back to 1900 and study the major companies which
made up the DJI composite, you find them a lot of them are no longer existing today.

Google is a great company. Will it keep streaking up skyward forever?

    Based on history - no.

Let's not forget Google took over someone's (Yahoo) position.
And someone else could take over Google's position one day.
