The Viral Aspect? How Does A Video Or Product Goes Viral?

Ok. Alot of youtube videos or some new product goes viral.

So does anyone know how the viral aspect works?

Is it just a lottery thing or what.

So can anyone explain how some regular video or tweet went viral that was posted by folks that were not financially responsible of the viral effect.

I'm just curious of the internet and news viral effect.

It all come down to the way you promote the video , right keywords in the description and a funny or funky video oh and some humor would not go astray

Yes, luck is involved because it depends on other people and their actions are beyond our control.

There are a number of things that can help something go viral, but no one or nothing can MAKE it go viral.

    IMO, the two keys are:
It has to be interesting to a wide range of people.

It must be seen, then shared by people with a lot of followers, friends viewers, listeners and/or subscribers.

It depends on your concept. If you want your product to go viral through videos or tweets, you must come up with something unique that can attract an audience. You can also identify your target audience and amaze them by giving something that they don't have or known before. Or put some catchy stuff on your videos and tweets. Then, you can work with your SEO. It is not easy to make something go viral with all of the sudden, but if you study and know the process well, you will achieve it.

Unfortunately, trying to get a video viral is like trying to win at the lottery.
You can say that you will try different strategies to win, but in the end it all comes down to luck and nothing more.

Except for luck, the majority of the videos that go viral have one of the three key qualities:

    - very informative
    - very funny
    - shocking

Like someone said it, it has to appeal to a big audience. Or even better, you have to show something shocking that will give people something to talk about.

To make a video viral it's either because it's too funny or maybe because it's too odd.

You have to have a unique content to make it viral.

It should be entertaining. It has to be creative.

no, no It works with good content that is trending at the moment.

I you have a good video or image and when people see it they can then like and share it thus getting spread and like I said if its a good photo or video that is trending seems to give you the best chances but all of a sudden you can start getting daily traffic as your video/photo gets shared more and more.

The way I see it is the right content at the right time. It needs to be strong enough to catch attention in the first place and then to be memorable enough so that whoever shares it gains something by doing so.

  • * "hoax or not" videos have better chances than just plain informative videos.
    * many viral videos intentionally come across as an amateur production, but are actually professionally produced in a studio.
    * viral videos are sometimes published in many free places such as facebook, and producing such campaigns is clearly not for free.

The topic of the video/how the product is shown is very interesting and peculiar.

Just getting a video to go viral isn't enough, unless you're a fame junkie looking to be a "YouTube Star".

For example, one popular strain of viral video is the stunt gone wrong. Unless you sell jockstraps and cups, that cute video of a toddler whacking Daddy in the gonads with a bat isn't going to get you much.

You raise a good point. How to capitalize off a video that just went viral 2 seconds ago. Do you just go to the comment section and spam? Or copy the video and offer it on your youtube page and hope to rank page 1 for the search?
