From Landing Page to Squeeze Page - Help Please

Hi everyone...

This evening I shifted my landing pages to opt-in or squeeze pages, on a network of niche blogs I've got.

I've choosen to make video squeeze pagea.

Now, I'e never done any email marketing before and I really don't know where to start.

So if any of you experienced warriors have some advice, please share

Should I start selling to them right away or should I wait a few days and build relationships first?

We're talking about the health niche if that makes any difference....

I don't think it's a good idea to try a sell to people right away - you need to give them some interesting and valuable information first. Once you build up some trust, you will get a higher response rate to sales messages. If you start blatantly selling right from the start, then many people will unsubscribe straight away. That doens't stop you maybe putting a couple of interesting sales links in your email signature though,

      best wishes,

      JJ.

    hey!

First of all congrats on your squeeze page!

To answer your question, I would wait to build a relationship with your subscribers before bombarding them with products. You want to get a positive relationship with them so that they feel a connection with you beyond their credit card.

The most difficult part is getting people to subscribe to your website. Keep promoting it and ask other people for their opinions how to make it better. Get testimonals, and ask your list politley for referrals. I'm sure you will be successful in a short period of time.

Good luck with your journey in email marketing, I wish you much success!

    Cheers,
    Emma

I don't know about others but on occasion I have come across marketers who start trying to sell the minute you click the subscribe button and in my doing that makes them seem somewhat shady.

Many people will subscribe to your list because they are genuinely interested in information and if you provide them with it they will become loyal customers. Give value before asking for money.

A buddy of mine who has been in the business far longer than I have taught me to follow a schedule and so far it has worked very well.

My weekly schedule starts on Monday and this is the routine I follow.

    Monday - Pure content
Tuesday - Content with soft sell
Wednesday - Content with soft sell
    Thursday - Solo Ad
Friday - Content with soft sell
    Saturday - Solo Ad
    Sunday - Pure content

The buddy I am talking about is Gary Baker and I want to thank him for guiding me in the right direction.

How you run your list is purely up to you but I have found that by giving value in the form of informative and useful content I get more money in return.

Hi Lee... Do you do this every week, or only with new subscibers?

Thanks for all of the answers...

    This is what I do:

Day 0 - They enter my video squeeze page -> OPT-IN
Day 0 - Send them a very short email, with hi and a link to another video (which was promised as they signed up)
Day 1 - Send them an email where I come out as very genuine guy and talk about how I made a mistake in the video and stuff
Day 2 - I'll send them a PDF file, with pure content, besides for a link in the very bottom. No selling at all (The text is something like this: Hey, if you want to know more, then go check out this site)
Day 3 - I'll send them an email talking about the pdf and them I'll go do some very soft selling and tell about my exp. with this product
    Day 4 - none
Day 5 - Maybe some soft selling
Day 6 - Hard selling the product

    How does that sound?

Should I go and promote different product or focus on just one?
