  • Tried them years ago and never made a single penny. Was a complete waste of time for me. Makes me wonder if anyone is really making any money with them.

There was this script called cbmall, and now all this time later I see cbmall.com is not even resolving except to error pages.

So be careful about how much time and energy you invest in it. Maybe other people here have had a different experience perhaps.

I haven't had any problems with Clickbank. I've made money promoting Clickbank products... and so have a lot of people.

There's a number of factors that could affect whether you make a commission or not. It could be the offer. It could be the copywriting. It could be the quality of traffic (or the quantity). It could be how it was promoted etc.

There are several ways to make money with CB and social media. E.g. on facebook, you could set up a niche-related page with posts that would link to your website (on which you soft-sell the CB product). Then spend some money with fb ads to get the ball rolling; link the ads to the page. Everytime someone engages with the page (e.g. likes or shares a post), this will show up in the home page of their friends = free advertising/snowball effect.

Lol...If know one was making money from them, then Clickbank would fold. Of course people are making money promoting Clickbank products. The reason you did not is because, you don't know how.

You should never direct link to a clickbank product from your traffic source. People are not going to buy through a link they don't trust.

You need to either build a blog and presell the products on your blog, or build a list and promote the products through your list.

People are making thousands a day with this method but most people are too lazy to learn how to promote products the proper way, then they complain because they never make any sales.

2000 people promoting the same product with a 30 to 60 day cookie duration for a sale means that you will need some real luck to make sales stick for your benefit.

    Good luck.

OP, if you're completely clueless about promoting affiliate products, then just go to Affilorama.com and sign up for free.

They have free training made especially for beginners on what is affiliate marketing, how to promote those products, and they also touch on how to maximize your earnings from existing traffic.

    Regards,

One of the easiest ways is probably to just build a list and promote affiliate products to your list.

If you have a blog, you could promote them there as well.

Clickbank is hard but you can still make money with it. You don´t even need a list, just a blog about the niche. Write content und promote "in the content" your Clickbank product.

    it's pretty simple.
Create a report / ebook by yourself or use a PLR product (they are pdf). Insert a link inside your report that sends to a targeted affiliate product. Ebook and aff. link must be the same niche.

give away your free repoert/pdf and you receive free clicks to your aff. product!!

  • You can do a lot of ways to promote your affiliate product from Clickbank.

    1. Get a domain name related to the product and build a site to it. (This can be a bit expensive since you also need hosting too).
    2. Start a blog and promote the product while utilizing keywords. (Blogsites are free).
    3. Go for paid landing page softwares and build an opt-in list by giving away free content. (Paid softwares like Leadpages, Clickfunnels etc can be a bit expensive too, but opt-in lists have higher conversions if you know how to promote your landing pages).
    4. Create social media accounts and promote aggressively (FB ads, FB pages, Twitter, etc ; can be a good and cheaper choice but make sure to do good research on your affiliate product. Some product links are disabled/not allowed on Facebook posts).

    Hope this helps!

List building is really the way forward, even more so now because people say that Clickbank products are harder to convert than they were even just a year ago.

Yes, the best way to be an affiliate is to be a product owner first IMO.

Clickbank makes money similar to paypal. They get a percentage of a transaction. Also Clickbank charges you to put your product up there.

But I'm sure that they have ghost affiliates that get paid from some of those sales as well. Atleast I would. . And they also probably own some of those e-products as well. Atleast I would.

So clickbank is definitely making money. Especially since any newb that are searching for affiliate programs will see their name on the first page.
