Clickbank - Do I get the commission if I sell my own product?

I've been a vendor for some time, but I'd like to offer my Clickbank product to some people on my email list. If those customers go through my hoplink, will I earn both the vendor revenue and the affiliate commission?

Not through CB. Normally if I want to sell my own product I would just do it from my own website. This is a unique situation, though, where it might make sense to send customers directly to CB.

Since this is a new product, I thought perhaps a quick influx of sales (with no returns) might favor my standing and popularity on CB? Could be wrong about that.

Yes but there is no benefit in selling it as your own affiliate vs. through a non-affiliate url ...it will be exactly the same amount.

    Here is the truth:

    1. When someone buys a product through your hoplink you will earn a commission.

    2. You can earn extra commission by referring additional product vendors to ClickBank. So, if someone comes through your link to Clickbank and becomes a Clickbank vendor you will receive extra commission.

When you refer a vendor who activates their account you earn 22% of the $49.95 activation charge. Additionally, you earn 5% of ClickBank's typical markup of each sale that your recruited vendor makes for one year.

    Cheers

Depends upon number of affiliates making sales to boost gravity...one affiliate's sales will not have huge impact...why not Target Affiliates to promote your product through CB advertising system or other options???

Thanks, PolicyMaker. Just the advice I needed! And yes...I'll look into CB advertising.

    Open another CB account.
Then use that affiliate ID to promote your product.

You'll earn 100% of your money. You want to do this for their search results. Once you have a product and it's proven to convert you can use this data to attract affiliates who will make sales for you and increase your traffic.

  • Yes I don't see much appeal for trying to sell your own product via your affiliate link though I have read before that some vendors have recommended it to build up gravity and stats etc but if it's a quality product you shouldn't have problem getting affiliates on board.

    Have a blissful day.
