Getting worried about Flippa auction...

Hi guys,

I am currently running a Flippa auction:

https://flippa.com/6274537-uk-based-web-design-agency-website-generating-average-3640-per-month

The site is quite night value generating around $3640 per month and I have a starting bid of $5000, a reserve of $16000 and a buy it now price of $22000 so I think I am being reasonable in expectations (please correct me if I'm wrong) there is also strong revenue proof.

I am completely new to Flippa so please forgive my ignorance, currently it's on the last couple days and has 38 watchers with 28 people signed the NDA agreement but as yet NO BIDS - am getting really worried that it isn't going to sell, are there any tips you guys can give that would ensure a sale?

Thanks in advance for your advice

It all depends on how that website is making those 3640 per month. If the website is earning that money by offering web design services then that website is of no value to aynone who can't provide web design service. So, 2 things are important: 1) how does that website make money and 2) what's the traffic source, how are people coming to that website, how many visitors per month?

I don't agree at all. People would still buy it and outsource the design services to somebody else. Actually the majority of successuful flippa buyers that are buying websites on Flippa, most of the times are not actual experts in that specific niche/sector the website is about.

Astute buyers won't start bidding days in advance. All they are doing is running the price up. They will wait until the very end, then submit their bid(s).

I can never understand why people on eBay get in a bidding war with days still remaining on the auction - the same applies to Flippa.

I too have an auction going on Flippa. It currently has 4+ days left.

Normally, I go with a no reserve auction which tends to increase bidding early on. This time I didn't. I'm also not a fan of the NDA. Seems like a roadblock to your sale that you could avoid. Most bidders wait until at least the final 48 hours.

I agree with the poster above, add a BIN price after bidding takes off.
