Hello folks. I'm just redesigning my business website these days, and converting it to wordpress. Many people know about the site, and I don't want them to visit it, and see that it's not finished/ugly/not working etc, as they might not come back. I've currently been using a theme called "Launchpad", but when I use it, I can't customize the theme I'm going to use. Does anyone know if there is a plugin to do this instead? - So I can edit and view my theme, and my visitors can't. You can see it here: ultimatex.no I'd like to keep it that way, but still be able to edit and customize the other theme I'm going to use. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated ![]() Best Regards, Preben |

Preben, Not sure if this plugin will work with your version, but give it a try WordPress › User Theme WordPress Plugins |

Thanks! I tried it, but it doesn't work with the themes I'm using. They looks twisted and really 1995ish ![]() But if it had worked, it would have been a great plugin. Does anyone know any others that might work? |

Why don't you just leave you .com the way you want it and edit the wordpress site on a subdomain? When you are done editing your subdomain you can just transfer the subdomain to your .com Another way I see people doing something related to this is by using the 'Ignite' theme. (Fly-Catcher Landing page) Use a screen shot of what they will see during the "Launch Date," coupled with a countdown timer. Give them a teaser in exchange for their email (not their name though) This is a great way to do launches and the idea came from John Resse himself. =) |
