Default Keyword Research - How to Find the Longtail Keywords?

I'm doing pretty well with my keyword research, since I've been able to find stuff and then rank for it, but I'm wondering about finding the longer tail keywords.

What I usually do is brainstorm and do some initial research until I come up with a list of keywords, then run them through the Google External Keyword tool and so on, which works fine, except that I'm pretty sure that there are good undiscovered keywords that I'm not finding.

So how do you find the hidden gems?

you know you can 'fish' with the google search bar - watch the long tails pop up when you enter a phrase.

Check out Market Samurai.

Use a mixer to make your own longtails

Hey Justin,

A couple of good "tricks" I often use include:
  • Add some qualifiers before or after phrases that you find that get a lot of searches. Try adding: 'how to...' or 'buy...' or '...reviews' and see if the Google Tool comes up with anything useful. It will a lot of times!
  • Look for specific product names and use the first suggestion above with qualifiers like 'buy...' and '...reviews.'
You can run with it from there. Lots of possibilities in most niches.

John

make sure you check with the Free Adwords Tools on how many traffic are there in a month globally first, before doing anything.

Nice, helpful suggestions. Thanks

Your site ranking can go from 100+ to Page 1 in one month. Don't try my service or you will be hooked!

Xrumer or Scrapebox blasts cannot compare with this! This is one of the most powerful, effective and yet under-utilized link building technique for getting links from authority sites which can make Google fall madly in love with your website.
