Recommendations for Video Intro & Outro creation

Hi All,

I am not a huge video pro so seeking something easy to use. I am currently using Camtasia but they don't have any "professional" tools for intro and outro creation.

Any online tools where I could possibly just input my Camtasia video into and customize a nice professional looking Intro and outro to upload to YoutTube or where ever?

THANKS!

You can try www.Flixpress.com for intros and outros. But I suggest you think about using intros, as they can cause loss of viewer retention on Youtube. If you use one, make it very short. Also, consider using the intro 30-60 seconds after the video starts, so people are already interested in your content. You only have a few seconds to keep viewers interested.

Another option is to use branding throughout your video instead of an intro.

Also, for your outro strongly consider what's known as an end card or end slate. These are used to encourage viewers to take an action, like "subscribe" or to click a link, and/or offer another video or two for the viewer to watch. If people watched all of your video, give them something else to do, don't waste it on just showing a fancy outro.

Watermark with your name/company/domain in the corner, either one (but I prefer on top right).

So, you don't need to worry with the intro and can replace it with the outro.

You can also use an animated watermark.

Agree with Kurt here and personally I would steer away from the intro and outro's.

I've been trying to up my game with video marketing for a few months now and have watched a ton of internet marketing vids on YouTube.

What really catches my eye is when a video has been branded with a little thumbnail in the corner, this can be a caricature of yourself, a logo or whatever!

If I was you I would spend a bit of time 'video hunting' and see what makes you go 'WOW' and then follow that method.

    Cheers
    Jon

I've done some decent branding on my videos using just Powerpoint.

Instead of intro slides, you can keep a static bar across the top (which is what I did for my Broken Link Building tutorial videos, and it turned out great). Or you can keep a logo in the corner.

I wouldn't get caught up on the idea of needing a fancy intro (or even consider it a good idea without a specific reason).

Several studies point to less-professional-looking videos being better at converting sales. Something about it looking less expensive makes people think you are just a regular person who's not in it for the money.

Thanks Jon and RW...I agree with you agreeing with me.

Just to be clear, and it's really a matter of words and not actions, I strongly believe that end cards/end slates should be used. They are the same as outros, except they focus on specific "calls to actions".

A strong end card may be the single biggest marketing asset missing from most Youtube videos.

There's probably only 3 things (unless I'm forgetting something) that should appear on an end card:

Click to Subscribe to my channel. Make this an annotation so people can click directly in the video to subscribe. Using annotations you can link to any other public video on YT, as well as create a clickable "subscribe" button.

You can also create a clickable link to your own websites by using annotations, but you must go through Google's verification process. I highly recommend this. Put a clickable link IN the video. You'll get much better results telling viewers to "Click Here" than you will to "Click down there". Put the link where their eye are looking, not try to divert their attention.

Don't just tell them to subscribe, make it easy and obvious for them to do so.

Click this link to get me free report (or visit my site).

Click here to watch my other video. Getting people to watch more videos is the single most important ranking factor on YT. It isn't keywords or likes. It's getting people to watch more video so YT make more money.

You don't want to confuse people, so generally you will only want to give people two options, no more.

Also, don't waste time and space worrying about getting people to like and comment. Just focus on subscribers. Subscribers will take care of likes and comments naturally. They are also shown any new videos you upload to your channel so you will get more views (likes and comments) naturally.

I typically use an end card that's something like this:

Step 1 Subscribe to my channel. Just click right here.

Step 2 Click this link to get my free report.

    Or:

Step 1 Subscribe to my channel. Just click right here.

Step 2 Watch this video about ______ (state a benefit)

Again, if you give people too many choices they may get confused over which to do, so limit it to two things. Make it obvious and easy for them to do your most preferred action. That's your job as a marketer.

There are some that do Video creation just have to check the WSO Its a bit pot luck as you can get them made elsewhere, just check if you get them done you have the license for them

Fiverr is the pirate site for some where the BHs hang out and there have been some nasty situations of Warriors clients getting asked where the license for images and music so be careful

Depending on how frequent and your skills on doing the video work yourself don't stress an intro. Why not do a cut away (Quick 15 second snippet of your video). Then go into your video this way it keeps people interested and waiting to see that clip that had them interested in the first place. You can also place this clip throughout your social media to direct traffic back to your video. So is a double win!
