Default Forum creation?

Can anyone suggest a source or material (free or not) about creating a forum online?

Best Regards

Matt

If you want to create a forum really quickly and you have
cPanel hosting, you can do it using Fantastico. There's
an option for creating a forum really quickly.

After that, if you want to know how you can make money
using forums, I recommend Brian McElroy's Instant Forum
Profits where he interviews 6 very successful Warriors who
have made a killing with forum marketing.

Here's the URL: Instant Forum Profits

vbulletin is probably the best, not too expensive but extremely powerful and the sheer number of hacks and modifications you can download for it from their community makes it very worthwhile.

VBulletin is the best, there is no doubt. NO free forum script can compare with it.

If have to be free one, just use simple machine forum.

getting into forums is HARD and sometimes doesn't pay out what you think it will so be cautious because your going to have to get a community going and people posting like this forum, that's the hardest part.

Hi,

If you want a very nice forum set up without all the hosting and programming issues get a message board at www.websitetoolbox.com

It's about $6 a month and if you don't pay they just support you with a couple of google ads.

this is such a catch 22 deal, i mean first i wanted to create a membership site, but i didnt know where to market it, then i thought id create a forum where my target market could gather and therefore i could market it to them, but now it seems like i would need a list to get my target market to join the forum in the first place!

I've run several forums using phpBB and find them very user friendly. Plus, they have a great support forum for any questions.
