How Does One Promote Their Product on YouTube in An Already Dominated Niche?

Hey Warriors,

I'm looking to promote a new yoga product, primarily for women, and I want to promote via YouTube. However, this will be a challenge because YouTube is already dominated by huge Yoga Channels, so trying to rank a video will cost a lot of time and money that I don't want to spend on a single marketing campaign.

So what do you suggest I do? How can I drive traffic to my aff. link, if it is near impossible to rank a video in the yoga niche (this would take many months as well as a lot of money), also considering that most of the keywords for the yoga niche are hard to rank for, and the ones that aren't don't get very many searches, plus there are some massive yoga channels on the site also. So is the yoga niche off limits then?

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Try to be specific. You can still gain traffic for local, or sub specific term of yoga world. Then you can expand from there.

Yes I could, but local search volume is never very high. It would require me to make xx amount of videos to even see close to the same amount of traffic top ranking videos are already receiving. Plus, each video would have to rank well individually.

Use reddit, instagram and pinterest to drive traffic to your YouTube videos. You could also take snippets of your videos and post them on instagram. I would also recommened creating blog posts on KWs you think you can rank for, or generate backlinks to, that are related to whatever videos you decide to make.

Thank you for the responses! As you can see it's usually an uphill battle. Your solutions could work, however that would mean the marketer would also have to be skilled in stirring up traffic on other social networks, or at the very least hype. Which again, could work, but will involved much more marketing to be done.

Hmmm, if only there was a product to fix this problem.

Just because it is dominated with other channels does not mean you can't go in and infiltrate it. See if you can offer a unique spin to yoga in your videos. Check out the other channels...what are they not offering or talking about?

I made a post where I cover this in a little more detail, but create videos that answer peoples most common questions. What is yoga? What is the best yoga mat? What are the best stretches? etc etc.

Doing that will help you: 1. Generate tons of views and traffic and 2. Make you an instant authority in that niche

    Good luck

These are great tips, and thanks for the advice.

However, videos that cover these topics already exist, they are restated in many videos posted by the top channels, because they are basic questions, so it would make sense that they have already covered things like this 10 times over. I suppose you could try to make videos with a different spin on things, but then there is the keyword issue. The keywords that relate to you 'different spin' videos won't be heavy enough, in terms of search volume.

I would suggest you go to fiverr dot com to buy a views likes and comments for your video. Choose carefully title of your video because is going to be your main keyword.Don't forget to add your video title into description and add the same title as tag too. That's how almost all my videos on first page of google not only on youtube Take care and good luck.

Being a small business owner means you do whatever it takes to be successful. You find a way to move beyond the problems and challenges you meet in your business.

If you won't spend time and money to see results . . . I suggest you are in the wrong business.

There is competition in every niche. There are already established businesses in every niche. It is expensive to market in every niche.

Having said that . . . there are ways to reduce your competition and to stand out in crowded marketplaces.

But it will require that you have the highest quality products and offers. It will require that you build an audience that wants to hear from you. It will require that you be unique and not comparable with your competitors.

No one can tell you how to position your business to do that. Research the marketplace, get creative, and give your prospects what they want.

While many affiliates try to get their videos ranked high and work really hard at it without results, others use YouTube's pay per click platform with great results. Sure, you will have to pay for your videos to get you traffic, but it will be worth it.
