How many websites n one server?

Since many of warriors promote tens of affiliate programs I am curious how many websites you can put on one server so it does not make any problems for stability?

Let's assume we are talking about either sales page or simple websites with 2-4 subpages. How many of webpages do you have on single server? Assuming there is not more than 20,00 visitors on each site per month...

That all depends. What kind of hosting plan do you have? Personally I use a reseller account, so I can set up as many sites as I want and divide the space and bandwidth as I choose.

With just some simple affiliate sites, you can put 100 of them up without affecting the server, as long as you dont go over bandwidth which you shouldn't if your not serving video's or such.

Also, depending on your hosting, if you just have a simple account there is most likely already a 100 or more sites on it.

Just build up and then get a dedicated server, then you can host 100's of affiliate sites with no problem.

I use HostNine(not dedicated server). They claim to offer:

# Unlimited Hosting Diskspace UNLIMITED Disk Space Hosting
# Unlimited Hosting Bandwidth UNLIMITED Bandwidth Hosting
# Unlimited Hosting Domains UNLIMITED Domains Hosting

But you never know if they really do that. But judging on your reply I think that I can easily have 30 which is my goal. Thanks again.

I provided hosting and I have to say that even on a good share account you can have hundreds for under $10 per month.

The key here is bandwidth no space, in 10 years in the business only once I had a problem with bandwidth.

Know what you have and be proactive, watch your resources and what you use.

Depends on the server, the websites and the bandwidth available to the server.

But for a modern server in a decent datacenter and good connectivity and "average" websites the answer is probably a couple of hundred.
