Definitive course in media buys?

I have been searching the forums and google for a good step by step comprehensive course on getting into media buys but cant find anything. Can anyone recommend something that i could research? Thanks!

I was also looking for more information about media buys. Even on Google there's not much to be found from what I saw. I guess it's just a matter of testing and testing and testing again.

I never got involved in "media buys" because it was a little pricey for me back in the day. Of course, we're just talking the main three - TV, radio and print. You had to have a pretty substantial budget to play in this game. Of course, things may have changed since then. You can always get a good rate with IO's with some good online ad networks. Is this what you're looking for?

The biggest thing with media buys is you need a BIG budget. Once you have this and are ready to invest a fair bit of money in testing is approach media buy companies. You will need to make a deposit (normally min is a few thousand). Then you need to pray you have a good account manager, because that will determine how profitable (if at all) you are. They will help optimize your campaign and traffic.
