Hello there,

I vaguely recall there is a place online where you can submit a request to interview an expert on a certain topic for an agreed fee or something like that.

If anyone knows where that is or where I can start looking I'd be very grateful.

I know the site, just doesn't come to mind yet, could have swore it had guru in the URL... If I remember, I'll post it up..

I've always just asked directly. Doesn't cost anything.

I did do some google searching and found a site that you can part with $1000(!) to interview someone with a job(!) at one of several well-known companies...

And this site does have some listings, though I found it tended to obfuscate them for whatever reason...you have to drill down to find contact info: The best directory of interview guest expert sources for talk shows, radio, TV, podcasts, articles, and blogs... - Interview Guests Directory

I would never pay to find an interviewee. There are plenty who are happy to connect with you for free.

My advice is for you to find experts who have already been interviewed, and ask them. Since they've already demonstrated their willingness to be interviewed, a Yes should be easy to get.

That where interacting on places like facebook and skype are good. We can build relationships with people and then we can ask for the Interview and by doing so you place yourself as the expert as well.

Great way to get converting traffic is to interview a top name in the space that will get a lot of attention and its much easier to go viral...

I don't know about paid interviews, but you could try Help A Reporter |.

Also, you could try direct contact with book authors on your topic. Many are eager to trade an interview for exposure.
