Blogger blog or personal blog?

I'm starting to build a blog and do some article marketing for getting traffic to it.

Should I use Blogger to create the blog and take advantage of Google's ranking. Or is it better to create my own blog on my own domain and try to get good ranking and traffic on my own?

    For better control and management it's better to build a self-hosted blog. However for SEO purposes you can build a blogger blog for the link juice to be passed to your self-hosted blog.

    In fact I have build quite a number blogger, wordpress etc blog which are linked to my self-hosted blog. These are all for SEO purposes although it does contain good contents.
