Also, edit your hosts.ini file (no idea about mac) and add this one simple line to that file.

This also works for Facebook or any other website.

How to:

Either create a shortcut to notepad.exe, or navigate to it through your start menu (Start->all programs->accessories->notepad) right click it and go to run as administrator.

Then go to open -> drive your operating system is on, usually C -> Windows -> System32 -> drivers -> etc

Once in that folder type "hosts" and click Open, then add the code. (hosts.ini is a "system file" so you can't see it with default folder options, you can alternatively go to Folder and search options -> view -> tick "Show hidden files, folders, and drives.")

If you want to temporarily disable it, reopen the hosts.ini file and add a "#" in front of that line.


What this does: (I don't know about windows 10, I know it works on 7 and I'm pretty sure it's the same on 8.)

Windows will always check the hosts.ini file for a match before connecting to your DNS server to resolve a domain name to it's IP address.

Instead it will use the address out of your hosts.ini file.

127.0.0.1 is always your computer, it's a loop back to your computer

So with your host.ini file setup that way, if you try to connect to that website, the connection will just connect back to your computer instead.

You have effectively blacklisted that website off your computer.

Yeah, and stop checking your email or auto-responder every hour to see how many leads or sales you got.

Think of the income producing activities that will move your business forward and do them everyday.

Years ago - before cell phones (yes, there was such a time) - I didn't answer my phone if I was busy with something else. Friends were shocked - "why don't you answer the phone".

My answer "I don't want to". I was paying the phone bill so if I didn't want to use it, I didn't answer. It was considered an "odd" thing to do.

I do the same with cell phones, text messages, emails, etc. I'm paying for those services - so when I talk or don't....is up to me.
