Timescale for creating a buzz

Hi

First post so please be gentle!

I've got a product that I'm going to be launching in October and promoting largely via the internet. The idea is to create a buzz via promotional videos, PDFs etc before we launch.

So I was wondering, what is the best timescale for this? Do we do a slow burn for 4 or 6 weeks prior to launch or try to come in with everything a week or two before launching and create maximum buzz that way?

It's a high-end multimedia investing product BTW.

Many thanks

Mark

For my book launch, it was over a period of 4 weeks.

Longer may dilute impact, though I haven't tested.

Shorter is ok, though some of your audience may not be
free to follow everything if you condense it into too short
    a time frame.

    Hope this helps

    All success

    Hi,

As part of your pre-launch, work on setting up a pre-launch list to capture emails ahead of time. Good place to start prepping prospective buyers.

    Thanks,

That's great - thanks folks. I've got a pre-launch address-grabber ready to go. I wonder how many emails / or with what regularity I should be emailing them before launch? I was think something along the lines of 1 per week then 3 / 4 in the final week before launch...?
