WordPress.com, Tumblr.com, and Blogger.com are all cool and secure.

Well, secure enough. They offer Two Factor Authentication, so even if some shady hacker knows your password, they also require access to your mobile device. (Or, access to an exploit that can bypass 2FA lol).

Regarding which one is the best...

    Consider using all three?

WordPress.com has one big advantage of note... Each time one of your "followers" "follows" you, they get an email each time you post a blog.

This is fascinating really. It's kind of like having your own WordPress.com email list in a way. (There are a few key differences, but I digress).

But... Why not post on all 3?

(In before the SEO gurus beat me up... Lolz).

WordPress gets my vote. Put it on your own hosting account. There are many great free themes to use with WP depending upon the niche of your site and the type of marketing you'll be doing.

WP + your own hosting gives you control over your own blog and domain.

Wordpress seems to have more features for when you want to expand your blog out of the free zone. If you ever get into wanting custom plugins you always hear them designed for Wordpress not blogger etc.

    Hi Hasan,

    Wordpress for sure.

    Blogger is OK too.

But...if you plan to do anything monetization-wise - as most Warriors do - save yourself headaches and start off with a self-hosted WP blog.

Plunk down money for a domain and hosting. You'll leap frog other bloggers in your niche who go the free route.

    2 factors: control/ownership, and functionality.

Free platform users rent. The landlord (Google, for Blogger) can kick you out anytime. For any reason. Not fun. Not fun at all. And they owe you zero explanation. You're just a squatter LOL

Buying a domain and hosting and plunking a WP blog out there gives you mad functionality through widget use, plug in use and theme use.

I pimp out my blog to make it stand out. This is easy to do with a self-hosted WP blog. More readers, traffic and blogging income for a one of a kind blog.

Some hosts offer 1 or 3 month plans if you want to save dough, or try them out for a trial period.

I pay monthly for my hosting. Could get a better deal over a year of course but the currency rates fluctuate - UK hoster - and also, I write it all off anyway, come tax time.

Signing off from kinda sunny NJ.

I suggest Wordpress. Now millions of people use Wordpress. Almost every day new people are joining the WordPress community by creating their first WordPress powered websites. The reason why people quickly adapt to WordPress is because it is fairly easy to use.

There's also Weebly, which is very use to use.

However, I hope you'll take my advice (and the advice of many others) and just get yourself a self-hosted WordPress blog.

Makes no sense building an asset that can be taken away from you at any time, for any reason.

It'll cost you less than $10/month, so don't be that cheap.

    Regards,
    Daniel

Self hosted WordPress blog is a great option for creating a blog online. Plethora of plugins and themes help you to create any type of site and also give you various expandable options for your site.

    I'd say Wordpress.
But IMO it's 1000x better to get your own domain and hosting.
