1500 to 3000 Uniques Per Day - Monetize (current earnings inside)

Hello,

First post.

Just wondering if anyone can help me with idea's how to monetize my new popular news site.

I didn't create this website to earn money, I have quite a large facebook following and was asked by followers to create one, and most my facebook posts get around 500 shares, so I have been getting 1.5k to 3k visits per day (95% Unique)

I have adsense on the page, with 5 ads per age (2 in sidebar, 1 banner, 2 text links above and mid content)

here are the earnings for yesterday:

Page Views: - 3347

Impressions - 13,773

Clicks - 30

CTR - 0.22%

CPC - £0.09 ($0.13)

Total - £2.67 ($3.84)

I have read of people earning $100 per 1000 views, or is this only if you have a niche? my website is mainly politics.

Thanks

Try looking at native ads to put on your website.

I personally use this network on my travel website: https://www.taboola.com/

I don't think you are allowed 5 ads per page, I thought it was 3?

adsense will pull in ads from the content you have on that page, so unless you can write about stocks, insurance, loans etc you will be stuck with a low cpc.

You could try buysellads.com, sounds like you get enough traffic.

Try out different adsence ad placements . Such as horizontal banner at top, vertical 300 px banner at sidebar and 2nd horizontal banner after the 2nd paragraph of the post. Test it out.

      tried different variations,

the way i have it set up seems to get the most so far.

but the cpc is really low, as is the ctc

looking for alternatives to ad alongside adsense maybe.
