Best Video Solution For Video Sales Letters?

Hi Warriors,

I need a new video solution for my video sales letters.

The things that important to me are:
  1. Scalability. The videos must play perfectly whether I have 50 visitors or thousands.
  2. Cross-Device compatibility. Whether it's an iPhone or HP computer, the videos must auto-play perfectly.
  3. Cost. I have a lot of traffic and bandwidth gets expensive.
  4. Conversions. Some video solutions just help your sales page convert better.


I've used Wistia and they do a good job of playing videos + great customer service; however, they're very pricey for the bandwidth I use.

I had a horrible experience with Vimeo PRO (they took our videos down without notice b/c of our bandwidth use). So please do not recommend them.

I also see many sales letters using YouTube now and embedding YouTube videos on their sales pages.

Additionally, there's the (premium) self hosted video players where you host your videos on cloudfront/Amazon S3. Like these:
  • Flowplayer
  • JW Player

What do you think? Is there a video solution you recommend?

Have you tested these video solutions against eachother?

Do one of these solutions work best for conversions and cross-device compatibility?

    If price is a problem, then Youtube embeds would probably be your best solution.

    I think you can post the video as private on youtube and still embed it on your site.

      Thank you for your reply. Price isn't really a problem. But if two solutions will give me the same conversion rates ...I'll choose the one with the lower price.

    I would use youtube (private as webmarke suggested) and use the money to bring more traffic (prospects) to my sales page.
