Blog commenting in 2016 - any tools?

Any feed or aggregate tools that you use to speed up the process of commenting? Maybe some kind of tool that shows you all the recently published posts out there, so you can quickly get to writing?

    Use Feedly.

    It's entirely web based, has a relaxed feed layout, and is quite easy on the eyes.

    You can also organize all of your feeds into categories.

    It's what I use to keep up to date on all things marketing, IT security, and even sleazy popular tripe.

      Absolutely the best thing... and you can also see which posts you've already visited so you don't have to click around and backtrack all over the place.

      Another thing I use is simple Notepad. I like to sort my posts A, B, C etc where A is my top blogs to visit.

      I know some people who use Bloglovin but I find it more cumbersome.

      On your own blog, you should definitely use CommentLuv plugin b/c your commenters' links to latest posts are right there for you to jump on. There's a paid version but the free one is perfect fine.

      Also, when I'm looking for new blogs in specific niches I like to do a Google search for "blogs + niche + commentluv enabled"... that way, when I leave a comment on that blog, I know my link will be visible and clickable to everyone.

      Also, commentluv enabled blogs are up on the whole process of syndication and reciprocation.

      PS: make sure to do social shares after you comment and ask your readers to do the same (make sure you have social share buttons on your posts). Social shares are important to do b/c the blogger you visit loves you for it (and they should), and even more important, it drives more traffic to the post where you just left your link... means more traffic for the host blogger, but also for your comment and backlink.

      Nice.

      I've used G-Alerts for curating info and trending topics for writing creating content, but never as a guide to finding relevant blogs in my niche.

    I use inoreader the chrome extention

    Google Alert is also powerful but I just do not like those Alert emails sent to my inbox.

    Nice thing about Feedly is that I can hook up the same account on my laptop and my tablet. I do a lot of skimming/reading on my tablet, then mark articles "save for later".

    But the absolute best tool I've ever found for blog commenting (and a lot of other stuff) is this gray mush holding my ears apart...

      I think they serve gray mush with lobster where I come from... not sure about this, though... it could be mussels.

      Commentluv, BTW, is not an RSS reader. It's a WP plugin that gives backlinks to your commenters so you can follow them easily to their blogs.
