I just ran across an website selling a non-internet marketing product. The seller has a number of testimonials with a photo (headshot) alongside each of them. Each photo is of a different person and underneath each picture it says, "Not Real Picture of The Person"... Now I think i know what the site owner is trying to accomplish, which may be to use stock photos and not make representations that aren't true. BUT, to me there was a psychology here that made me uncomfortable. I felt like the technique, while maybe technically correct, was unconsciously causing me to question WHY he did it, and making me suspicious of other things on the site. Any opinions on whether this is smart or not? _____ Bruce |
