Need Help Staying on Task

Warriors, do you have any free programs or methods that keep you on task during the day?

Being a stay at home mother of 2 active boys (3 & 1!), I find myself getting distracted alot. I will either get distracted online, or leave the computer to get something done and have trouble getting back on task when I return.

I was thinking of something like a task manager type software or project management.. I need some way to keep track of several "campaigns" and projects running at the same time, what general tasks need accomplished on those projects, and a list of daily tasks that I need to do.

Thanx for your suggestions in advance.

Have a look at Simpleology.com - good for prioritising as well as motivation. I believe there's no charge for this part of their membership at any time. Acouple of their tools can be run on the desktop as standalone items - might be Windows only I think; but all of the functions run in a normal browser as well anyway,

    best wishes,

    Jon.

    GET BACK TO WORK!

    There. Did that help?

You could always do things the old fashioned way: Post-It notes and checklists.

Lately, I've been just keeping track of things to do in text files with my projects. Then, I just delete items as they are finished or, sometimes, add more items to them...

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

My advice is to draw up a seperate excel sheet for each one of your campaigns. Divide it into a 1. Daily tasks 2. Weekly tasks 3. Monthly tasks. Stick to it. Make
a column for the activity - what it involves - time - date to be done and a column that state date finished. Print it and keep it handy. Get the tasks you dislike the most out of the way first. Draw up an excel sheet and keep track of all the activities in your campaign - you might need it again or write an ebook on how you made your first million on line. Learn some basic excel programming skills on the net. Dedicate certain days of the week to certain tasks. Make subcategories say for advertising - - list all the ad stuff there and tick off. And so on. Good luck.
