What is the best webhost for security ?

Hi, what is the best webhost to protect against hackers and malware. I noticed that Hostgator Wp has some features at Managed WordPress Hosting Optimized For Speed & Security - HostGator

I have most sites at 2 other webhosts and they are no help when it comes to hacked sites - they leave you on your own to fix it. I have been attacked a lot this year and it is getting ridiculous. I had wordfence installed and it didn't help at all. I could install sitelock or securi on all sites, but that is getting expensive.

Thanks for your comments.

HostGator's Managed WordPress hosting is actually pretty good, based on the reviews I've read, so you have the right idea for considering them (can't say the same about their shared hosting).

Another host that removes malware is WP Engine.

Once you are hacked, Hostgator offers a root cause analysis for $37,50 but then you are already compromised.

I don´t know how good their malware cleaning service is. They do also offer daily backups of your site but you can do this on your own.

You said, that you installed wordfence but you got hacked. Did you setup everything like recommend?

Just asking because I don´t know wordfence, I am using iThemes Security (WP Better Security) and once installed it takes some time and effort to set everything up properly but for me it works fine and my sites are often attacked.

If you're on WordPress, just forget it lol. It's like Swiss cheese.

Keep backups, so if you ever get hacked, you can refresh your content.

(Or would you rather look through tens of thousands of lines of code trying to find exploits and vulnerabilities after some shady hacker has had access?).

Keep your sites updated, remove stuff you don't use, including accounts, plugins, and themes, and make your password complex enough so that it can't be bruteforced. Also, make sure your username isn't "admin".

Only because you're in the opinion that WP is like Swiss Cheese, does not make it more unsafe. It is not WordPress itself, it is the combination of using different plug-ins in WordPress, which not or only very slow supported by their programmers/ creators.
