What other ways you can suggest to build good traffic for a membership site

Hi guys,

I know this is a pretty basic question but I just want to hear more ideas about fellow warriors who gained successful and good steady traffic running a membership site. Aside from social media, what other strategies you implemented?

PS: The membership site also comes with an affiliate program. How do you promote both? What are some successful ways to do this?

One strategy would to do it would be to focus all of your initial efforts on recruit affiliates. You could do this be creating a product launch and announcing your launch on JV Announcement sites.

Use social media like a Facebook Page to draw in traffic, offer a free lesson through email marketing, then market your membership over time to your subscribers.

Paid advertising. Sounds like you're looking for instant traffic that actually *might* convert very well. Targeted paid advertising can do this for you. Recruiting affiliates is a good idea too, but understand the solution with affiliates isn't with quantity, it's quality. Here are some tips on finding some:

For right now, focus on paid advertising, generate leads, and convert them with email marketing. That's a proven model. No need to re-invent things.

Best way to get affiliates and traffic is to connect with successful vendors in your niche and offer them good affiliate program.

Trying to convert cold traffic straight to a membership product or recurring sale is tough. Like the others have said, generate targeted leads, build a relationship with those leads, and then introduce them to your membership.

We have a membership site in the gardening niche and there's no way we'd convert any of them cold. It just wouldn't work. We actually get them on our list by offering a few different lead magnets, we sell them a low-priced product, and then 5 or 6 times a year we open up access to our membership. We usually add 200-300 new members every time we open it.

Some of the great ways to build good traffic are SEO, Social Media and email list.

    SOCIAL MEDIA
It is an awesome tool to build traffic to your membership site. Just by building an audience and sharing content you can get huge traffic. This is the simplest way.

    SEO
Seach Engine Optimization refers to optimizing your online content in order to appear towards the top of search engine result when users search for target keywords.

    EMAIL LIST
Email is the great place to start your traffic for a new membership site. When writing an email to your list , many of the same copywriting strategies that you have learned for writing web page copy stll apply.
