Sponsored Tweets & Making it Work for you..

As marketers, bloggers, business owners we tend to explore new advertising models and concepts - it's obvious that our goal is to expose our services and message to the highest amount of users....first thing I'll say for those of you offering a service for the sole purpose of making money - it's not about making money - it's about providing value and with value you will get the attention of your prospects.....

With that said: If you're trying to use a new method of advertising outside of Adwords and the traditional methods, you can give Sponsored Tweets a Try - I've tried it and had decent results - with one tweet by a top user I received traffic for days after that....but there are some important factors to consider when choosing a sponsor for your tweet...

*Quantity of Followers the Sponsor Has
*Activity the sponsor has
*Friends, or supporters - having alot of followers does not mean you should purchase a tweet from those individuals - remember there are ton of inactive profiles and profiles made by robots...so you have to keep in mind that popularity is really determined by mentions, conversations, tweet ratio etc..

I want to share an article that shares one resource that analyzes the most important data to consider when purchasing a tweet or when looking to partner up with a twitter user in a particular niche....it has done well for me.

    This seems interesting.

I imagine the key to success with this is to target experts / thought leaders who are related to your niche and piggybacking off of their followers.

    Worth testing.

That would be a good idea, except sometimes those with a lower budget may not be able to invest into an "Expert"- sometimes the experts or as they call them on sponsored tweets the "web celebrities" charge a pretty high amount....I think the way to go around this is to find the tweeters that have relationships with them or perhaps are in the same niche with slightly less followers and less cost.....this way you still target your prospect audience and still meet your budget limits......its still a pretty new service so much room for testing.
