I have been looking at the itex barter exchange and don't really understand brokers. Do you need one? What value can they add? What do itex brokers make for helping you? Who has the inside scoop? Re's Rob Whisonant |

They make 6% in real money from the cost of the Itex trade. If you sign up on Itex you will have a broker, its how it works. Brokers are good they can help you out with great deals. Rob |

Rob, I would be the perfect person to answer that question for you since I myself am one. You can pick, by applying to the direct brokership you want to work with. If you send in the form to corporate they will assign you one by where you live. You do have to have one, there is no choice as they are the ones who process all your transactions. And I will advise you that not all brokers are created equal, some will bust their butts for you, others simply sit back and let you make them money. Numerous members here can contribute to how great a broker I am, and if you would like to go with me, let me know and I can send you the needed forms. Another thing to take into consideration is that fees are set by the broker and most charge upwards of $500 for the application fee, whereas some charge less than $100. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to PM me. Have a great one, Sylvia |

I've done over $300K in trading volume on ITEX over the past 2 and half years...and I can assure you, a good broker is not only necessary....but vital. Most of the large deals I've done are a direct result of a broker who brought me deals long before they reached the marketplace. The fact is, a broker makes money when you buy and sell....and a good one will bust her ass to make deals happen for you. Something else to consider: 80% of the what's available on ITEX is never seen listed in the marketplace. But it's seen by your broker....and that's why a great broker is vital. I consider a good ITEX broker to be a one man or one woman sales team for me. xxx Vegas Vince p.s. I might be a bit "biased" here...but Sylvia Rolfe is most definitely among the very best brokers the ITEX corporation has ever seen...and she's definitely the best looking one I've ever come across. |

OK, the burning question now is, will you put on another workshop?? I can't believe that I missed it. I've been trying to get my hands on anything (information/newsletters, etc) to do with bartering and was heart-broken when I missed out! JMB | |

JMB, We are in discussion with a few different groups of doing live seminars on barter, and are also putting together a product on barter, as well as the "hard copy" of the workshop will essentially include everything original workshop members got, forum and all! So stay tuned we will be around with much more on barter ![]() Sylvia |

Well after getting more info on itex, it looks like it is not for me. Since I am not going to be a BIG player in the barter game, I don't see any worth in paying application fees or monthly fees to belong. Anyone know of any good barter programs where you just pay a transaction fee on each barter? Re's Rob Whisonant |
